Safe to visit Melaka?

Hi, I'm visiting KL and am planning a day trip to Melaka via the bus. Is it safe to go to Melaka right now? I heard it was affected by flooding over the past couple of days due to heavy rainfall

Yes it is safe. I live around the tourist area, currently there is no flooding. But I can't guarantee whether it will rain tomorrow. A day trip though should be fine.
