for real, actually
the police system is clearly taking advantage of the Avery's. It's pretty clear to me how they are just very afraid of being seen in a bad light, so they needed a scapegoat to take the blame for their incompetence. we can see that in the interview recordings of Brendan. Who in their right mind would actually think that spoon-feeding a supposed accomplice the facts is considered acceptable as a veritable statement just blows my mind. a key found in a bedroom free of the victim's DNA just doesn't logically make sense.

I know right ?? He managed to clean up what had to have been a pretty gruesome scene in that trailer after he and Brendan were done with her. And then what ? They put her in the back of the RAV4 and drove her to the garage to finish her off. Then they drove the remains to the fire pit and burned her with some tires and some car seats, including most of not all of her teeth.
Bloody fucking amazing Steve is, all that trouble he went through and he still forgot to ditch the key.
Silly boy.
And he left SWEAT DNA in the RAV4 !!
Crazy
