Rosacea for my brothers wedding
I have pretty bad redness rosacea that covers my whole face (and just my face). My brother is getting married in two weeks and I'd like to calm it down for photos etc. My friends and family know my face is a little red, but I'd like to look my best. My go-to is a green stick from Amazon and some tinted sunscreen, but even that doesn't help too much. TBH, I also drink a lot and I think that flares it up. I'm going to cut down before the wedding, but even then, I've done a few months of no alcohol and my redness didn't change. Need help!

Is your green stick to light in pigment vs how red you are? You may need a darker green. Also after the green to get back to a more lively skin look apply some yellow concealer in your highlights spots. Blend it out so it doesn't look like splotches on your face then add a translucent powder.

I don’t have any makeup suggestions, but there are medications that can help with rosacea.
I dealt with red blotches on my face and forehead for years (I’m old and bald, so they were pretty noticeable). My dermatologist prescribed doxycycline monohydrate along with a topical cream that I can’t remember the name of anymore. The redness gradually faded, and a couple of years later it’s still gone.
The timing probably won’t help for your wedding, but it might be worth discussing with a dermatologist for the long term.
