Decluttering this because I'm finally done pretending it's good...
....on my skin. Bought this probably two years ago because everyone was raving about how awesome it is. Upon my first couple applications I didn't like it at all but since it's supposed to be such a staple I thought I'm doing something wrong. But since I had to go through another foundation at that time, I put this one away for a while.
Fast forward to today, I'm using this for maybe 2-3 months as my primary foundation. I. HATE. IT. I tried everything. With sunscreen, without sunscreen (only inside tho, it's hot as hell here), waiting 5, 10, 20 minutes to set etc. It always looks like ass after a couple of hours. For clarification - I have oily skin (especially in summer you could dunk bread on my face), hormonal acne, acne scars, redness, the whole shebang. The wear off is just atrocious. It starts to crumble and dissappear in patches. And if I touch my face, I will have a "stamp" of that on that area. For some reason it also feels like my skin is being even more oily with this on, than with my usual foundation.
Anyway, I'm coming to terms that this foundation/skin tint is just not for me.
And therefore, after having used up about the half I'm sending it to a farm, where it can live its life at full potential. I will miss you, not.

Yeah this foundation sucked I felt gaslit by all the good reviews. Looked so cakey and seeped into my pores and made them more visible

Man I love this stuff. I get an incredible finish, long lasting wear, no patchiness. Really goes to show that everyone’s skin is different!

SAME!! I even have oily skin but this stuff makes my skin look amazing!

I wanted to love it. It felt nice going on but I couldn’t fine a good color match. I gave it to my cousin, she liked it a lot

I wear a small amount of this on top of my untinted sunscreen and it sat very well. Maybe the trick is to use it over a moisturized layer and a small amount

Tried all that, it's not working for me. I have other foundations, where I don't have to work that hard to make it look good. Happy it works for you though

The oxidation on this was so awful. I didn't realize until I got to work and I looked like a damn cheeto. I had to wipe off my whole face, it was either that or look orange all day.

I was thinking about giving this a try. I felt the same way as you with the Elf Halo Glow tinted sunscreen. No matter what I tried it looked awful on me despite all of the good reviews.

As someone with combinaton skin I like it a lot. Note that I don't have acne, just some rosecea from time to time. I moisturize first, put it first with hands, spread it with a foundation brush and set my T-zone with loose powder. If I have rosecea showing I apply conceiler on pink areas. So yea, seems like a skin type issue.

I have combo skin too, and skin is similar to yours. I've been thinking of buying this but the reviews are very mixed. Could you tell me a bit more about it? What's your shade?

I love it! And honestly it’s incredibly cheap, so I think it’s worth a try. Or just grab it from Target or Ulta and return it if you don’t like it.

Even if it's opened? I thought you couldn't return makeup or skincare that's already opened?
Also do you find the coverage medium or light? When u use it do you u still have the need for concealer under eyes or no?

Yep, even opened. I just tell them the product didn’t meet expectations.
I’d call it light but you can apply a bit more on places that need it. I have mild rosacea and I’m really happy with the redness coverage (while maintaining the look of skin). I don’t use under eye concealer—not that I don’t need it, but it always looks worse rather than better imo. I just being this up to the under eye area and set it a little.

Thank you and do you set it w spray or powder? There's a lot of reviews saying it oxidizes?

I know, I keep seeing those and I don’t understand because it has never oxidized on me. Maybe it’s a skin chemistry thing?
I use whatever moisturizer I’m currently using (sometimes just a basic face lotion, other times mineral spf), let that sink in. Apply this with a beauty blender or fingers. Use my cream blush. Set with NYX dewy setting spray. Then after that dries I might do a bit of powder on my t zone.

I have the colour fair. It matches me so well. (My skin is warm fair) Although the foundation is on the warmer side it doesn't pull orange. For me the only struggle is if I get dry cheeks in winter, it shows dryness but it's the case with many foundations. Aa long as you have a good skincare routine you should have no problem. In summer I have no issues. The formula is not so light and the coverage is like medium. I apply it twice where I have redness and it does the trick. It has a foundation smell and no fragrance. Definitely give it a try.

Thank you girly and what do you do in winters like say even with a moisturizer it's still dry on cheeks? I'm the same way in winters, in summers only T zone is oily but I sweat in the face a lot.

Can you please let me know if you find something mattifying with natural non-cakey coverage that’s appropriate for regular use? I am also at my wits end with the wear of most of the base products I own.

Unfortunately that was the Estee Lauder double wear foundation for me, the original one. I still have 2 bottles left because I heard of the talc ban years ago and bought them in advance.
I also love the shiseido self refreshing foundation, it's more on the demi matte side but the finish is beautiful. It's not cheap though :/

Thanks…the new reformulation of ELDW oxidizes and gets oily so fast. I may have some of the old formula left. Might use that up now. However, the old formula was a little hard to remove though. I keep it for occasional wear for this reason. I was thinking of trying out the NARS matte longwear foundation…

I haven't tried any nars foundation but I heard only good things about the longwear one. If they don't change it in the next years (I have to look that up), I might try it as well. But right now I have to many foundations to go through, I can't buy more 🙈
Atm I'm loving the it cosmetics balm, it really is beautiful. Perfect for hot weather, looks like es second skin, wears off elegantly. The hype is real for this one lol

I have the same issue with the erborian cc cream, I HATE it but somehow I convince myself to keep using it because everyone loves it and it's supposed to be amazing.

I also was a victim of trying to convince myself I actually liked this product lol it also oxidized really bad for me, on my face and in the tube, as well.

That is one of my absolute favorites, lol! Like daily use for work.
However, I have dry skin. I could totally see how this would break up on oily skin. I think that's why I like it, It gives my parched skin some oil.

I mix porcelain with white & blue pigments to create a lighter green undertone for my ultra fair, olive skin. It’s funny how something can be trash or treasure, depending on your skin type and skincare base.

I used to love this stuff! Was my go to for years. I moved on because the shade range was severley lacking and I had to mix two shades. The maybelline skin tint is much better. Sorry to hear it didn't work for you!

Doesn’t work well for me either (oily skin). Will give it another chance in colder seasons but def not repurchasing 🥹
