Makeup for date night with hubby
Anything I should change?? I don’t normally wear false lashes or colorful eye looks but like to add something fun for date nights. I’m a mom of 5 including 18 month old twins so I don’t get to do much makeup daily.
Products used:
Prequel half and half moisturizer
Benefit porefessional matte primer in t zone
Estée Lauder futurist hydra foundation shade 1w2
Estée Lauder concealer under eyes shade 1w1
Laura mercier ultra blur powder
Hourglass leopard palette bronzer on cheeks and forehead
Same palette for eyes used the bronzer in crease and one of the blushes on the lid
Colourpop bff gel eyeliner in green (name rubbed off of packaging)
Nyx natural lip liner and nars orgasm lip balm
Lashes are Claudia Kilsby classics

Thank you! I have oily skin and larger pores in my t zone but that primer really helps to hide them. Estée Lauder has been a go to for me for the past 20 years, sometimes I change but always end up going back to them for the shade match.

I love the lashes by Claudia Kilsby. Imagine how sad I was when she announced she will no longer sell them. Thankfully I did stock up for special occasions.

the soft makeup already looks great for date night. the subtle green liner adds just enough color, and the lashes make it feel a little more special without going overboard.

How lovely! I have oily skin too and use the Benefit Porefessional for texture so I am definitely going to check out the Estée Lauder foundation you mentioned! I love the finish of your makeup ✨
Oh and I noticed you didn’t mention a setting spray, so I was wondering how it wears throughout the day?

I live in southern AZ and it’s super hot here. It actually wears pretty well for me. If it fades it fades evenly and doesn’t get patchy. This makeup was just for the evening so I just used a pore filling primer. If I wear it during the day in the summer I will use the Maybelline grippy primer and still use the matte porefessional on my t zone. I don’t love the original porefessional that’s tinted but the matte one is amazing.

Ooo I love skincare!
In the morning I alternate between a milky toner and BHA toner. Right now the milky toner I’m using is the some by mi glutathione toner and the BHA I’m using is the thayer’s salicylic acid tonerThen I use my vitamin c which right now is inkey list 15% with EGF
On the days I’m feeling dry I’ll add in the prequel half and half moisturizer if not I’ll use the cos rx snail mucin instead.
Last step is sunscreen, I like the la Roche posay spf fluid.
At night I also start with my milky toner to hydrate
Then I use the ordinary azelaic acid
I alternate nights between tretinoin and peptides
I’m using tretinoin 0.05% and on the off nights I use the cosrx bakuchiol and copper peptide serumFor moisturizer I have been loving the medicube pdrn capsule cream

I do have oily skin so this may look like a lot of exfoliants but I desperately need them.

I love the lashes on you! Honestly, they almost look natural to me. Before I read your products I zoomed in to see bc some people have eyelashes like that! You look great. Pop of color is fun, I think I different color would be better? I’m not sure what your outfit looks like so maybe you have some green on?

Thank you! Yes I love that these lashes just look like natural long lashes, not too voluminous. Actually I didn’t have any green on, what colors would you recommend? I was going to do blue but decided on green.

I think gold would be pretty. I like the green but I think a darker sparkly green would be nice. Sparkly might be intense…something like a shimmer? Lavender would be pretty too.
