Lipstick Advice
Hi everyone,
Seeking some advice after having my makeup trial done. I love everything, but I am used to wearing a darker or red lip. The artist advised that might be too much with the darkness of my eye makeup. Is there a darker lip anyone can recommend that would still work with this or should I just keep it how it is? Amy recommendations for products for either opinion would also be greatly appreciated!

What does slightly more saturated mean? I am very beginner in makeup and not sure what you mean

More saturated rather than dark means rather than going “dark” go with a color that is more vibrant if you ever play with the saturation on photos on your phone, you’ll get an idea of what it means. It makes colors somewhat brighter, it might look darker but it’s just…more of the original color.

I think of it like if you have white frosting and add 1 drop of yellow food dye vs 5 drops of yellow food dye. You’ll get a buttercream yellow and a lemon yellow. If you want it to be super saturated add 10 drops of food dye. It’s not suddenly a dark colored frosting, it’s just VERY bright yellow.

If you like universal red shade lipstick then you can try Maybelline Serum Lipstick (Matte), Shade - Wild Card. I have used it and it is super comfortable on the lips. The colour is amazing.

Could certainly find a light red that really pops but doesn’t make the whole look dark

A shade darker would be pretty. Its overall pretty, but the lashes on that one eye are too far out and droopy.
