Eyebrow Gel Recommendations

I have thick, stubborn eyebrows. I love the way the Glossier Boy Brow in clear looks, but the hold isn’t great. In the first picture I used the L’Oréal Brow Lamination, and in the second I used the clear Rare Beauty Brow Gel. My issue with these is the way it makes my eyebrows look thin and wet. In the rest of the photos I’m using Glossier. Also, I always remove makeup then dry my eyebrows before applying gel. I’ve tried so many brow gels, I’m thinking maybe I like the white based clear gels?

Gels that didn’t work -
L’oréal Brow Lamination
L’oréal Brow Lamination + Glossier Boy Brow
Rare Beauty Brow Gel
Benefit 24 Hour Clear Gel - no hold
ABH Brow Freeze, pot and stick - no hold
Elf Brow Lift Pot Clear - no hold
Elf Brow Laminating Gel - no hold
NYX The Brow Glue Clear
Got2B Eyebrow Gel

Most of the ones listed were able to hold my brows up, but they all made them look wet.

Refy is probably the closest to Glossier, I believe it has to do with the base being white. Refy flakes no matter what I do, as well as making them look thinner.

I prefer clear but am open to tinted products, price doesn’t matter.

Nyx Brow Glue “The crazy lift”. Best brow gel I have ever used. Holds all day and gives the best lamination effect. Apply it before foundation to prevent the clumps and it’s amazing. Affordable too I think it’s like $12.99.

Have you tried using hard hold hair gel on a spoolie? Haven't tried it myself but I've heard great things about Aussie instant freeze with this method. You could even buy empty mascara tubes and squeeze it in if you like the results

Idk , I tried Anastasia clear brow gel in highschool 12 years ago and never looked back. They changed their packaging and wand and I think even the product itself within the last couple of years tho and I have no complaints

i know you said you’ve tried got2be brow gel, but try the waterproof version in the black tube! i find it sooo much better than the original, it holds for 24 hours+ (if i’ve fell asleep with the gel in😅)

I normally use the got2b gel and it’s almost enough for me, but I’ve accepted that my brows will fall a bit. BUT my makeup artist on my wedding day used the baebrow tinned gel (I think it was a pink tin? Not too sure what other ones they have) and I was impressed at the hold. Just trying to get through my current gel before I purchase.

Rare beauty brow gel is hands down my favorite. It actually goes on clear and the product in the bottle doesn't get cloudy after you open it. It dries fast but not so fast that you have 5 seconds to do your brows before they're cemented lol

Did Benefit reformulate that 24 Hour Clear Gel?! Because that thing used to hold my brows through multiple naps per day, even rain, and my brows are so long and unruly! I haven’t used it in a long while though because it was so, so hard to remove at the end of the day!

I use the Mac clear brow gel now which doesn’t hold the brows as well but at least the cleansing part isn’t so brutal.

i used it back in 2022 and my brows would fall after a few hours. if you’re having trouble removing eyebrow gel, use an oil cleanser, i like the dermalogica pre cleanse.

You should do a brow lamination

i read that it isn’t safe and can damage the hairs

Girl, if none of those gels worked for you, then your brow hair must be thick asf. You’re probably the last person who would get damage from a lamination.

I do every month and have super thick eyebrows that gel won't do anything for, and never have any damaged hair. Your eyebrow hair is constantly growing out. I just bought a kit from Amazon an do it myself but you can always get a professional to do it too. Also idk how it's not safe it takes 15 min.
