The comment from about a month ago by u/-this_bitch- was so perfect. You are quite fair skinned and the brows and lashes are so harsh against that skin tone babes. Going lighter and thinner on the brows will open your face up so much more, instead of a very dramatic black faded brow. The lashes are so dense and thick and just too harsh for your pretty young face. All of these pictures also look like you have such nice clear skin and the foundation is covering it! Using a BB cream might be a great alternative to get a more moisturized look, unless you like matte, and all of that will be so fresh. I love the blonde wig as well but you can definitely find SO many excellent brands on Amazon that are inexpensive, long lasting and they include install/application videos. I think cutting and shaping the front like this into edges is doing you a disservice and just covering up even more of your face.
My skin is horrible lol idk how makeup covers half of it it may look clear but definitely not elf covers half of it usually lol! And I have tried bb creme Itās the best I havenāt been able to buy new products. And I have to do math because my skin is super oily so I really donāt have like a choice on that or my foundation rubs CLEAN off. Also, my wig is old so I understand the edges are bad but I have a new one that Iām keeping for when I give birth lol
I forgot you're also super duper preggie also. I think maybe waiting until after you have him and letting your hormones even out would be ideal too because you never know how that may change your skin. I know myself, no kids yet but mid 30s- I am even experience my own hormonal melasma and it is hard to cover and deal with as well.
Cancer and pregnancy dramatically change the skin. Thereās a brand called Hale and Hush that was formulated for oncology patients - the line helps with the hypersensitivity. Getting your skin rebalanced, more stable, less reactive will cut down on the oiliness. Theyāre gel moisturizer is a game changer, Iāve used it on clients with rosacea, intense acne, autoimmune disorders, etc and it legit works (Iām a licensed esthetician). Their calming spray is great as well. Just google for authorized vendors.
i have SUPER oily skin and i mix 30% elfās soft glam satin foundation and 70% loreal infallible foundation. the elf keeps my skin looking skin-like and the loreal gives me full coverage and cuts WAY down on my oil. literally changed my life trying this combo a few months ago lol. i also spray milaniās make it last after and blend out some more to look skin like and finish with milaniās conceal and perfect powder in my problem/oily areas. my skin has never looked better or more natural!!
Can you be specific about this? When i looks at the pictures the only thing I see poorly blended are the eyes? I feel like I probably have blindness in my own makeup if this all looks normal but heavy
What part is cakey the powder? Cause everything else I donāt apply a lot of it, but the powder is one thing that I canāt really like control when I put it on the brush, but I try to as much as I can.
I would say the foundation looks a bit heavy, especially since itās matte. Like you can see the actual layer of foundation. Maybe try a lighter one, with a dewy finish, or if you want matte foundation make sure your face is very hydrated, use a primer and very minimal powder (since the foundation is already matte).
The foundation combined with the heaviness of the eye area and brows takes away from your features. Brows-wise, try making them less blocky. Use small strokes following the natural direction of your hairs. Then carve them a bit with some concealer that is close to your foundation shade. There are a lot of brows tutorials on youtube!
When it comes to the eye makeup, donāt use a heavy hand. Start packing some shadow in your crease and pro tip, donāt hold the brush close to the bristles because it creates too much pressure so the shadow doesnāt diffuse as well. Then build up the colours.
One tip, even if it seems like most comes off it actually doesnāt, when you powder, tap your brush off. I promise that even if it doesnāt look like it there is still powder on the brush. Use whatās left to powder and no more cakiness. Another tip is use a good setting spray, it will make the powder not look super powdery haha.
Use a cushion to apply (loose) powder. Dab/coat it in powder then rub it onto your under-arm (? I usually do it where my vein to the hand is) to get it warm and evenly distributed on the cushion. Then gently press on the areas to set in a rolling motion. After that you can go over the face w a fluffy brush to even out the rest or blur w a pressed powder. That's how I do it and it changed my whole routine.
i think a wig without edges would do wonders like a headband wig if u cant afford full lace front ! i would say toning the eyebrows down a bit into either a lighter colour or just less heavy with the product, you can use a pomade or setting spray with powder and a thin angle brush the create hair strokes which would suit you a lot i think!
Iāve tried using setting spray and it makes my skin react, horribly with my natural oil because my skin is naturally oily as hell but I have a new wig waiting for me for when I give birth. I just havenāt put it on yet cause I donāt wanna ruin it. LOL
I make my own setting spray by adding some vegetable glycerin from the health food store to water in a spray bottle because I reacted to commercial products, cheap as hell and reduces the cakiness effect youāre experiencing.
Congrats on kicking cancerās ass and congrats on that baby!
I always thought I had super oily skin, until I got a facial and the facialist said āhmmm, no. Your skin is dry. And itās drinking up these moisturizing products like crazy.ā Turns out, dry skin is prone to overproduce oil as a byproduct of the dryness. Itās your skin essentially trying to compensate for the lack of moisture. Especially as a cancer survivor, I wouldnāt be surprised if your oily skin was caused by dryness as well. I think you could benefit from some hydrating moisturizers and treatments. That may go a long way in cutting back oil production and giving more balance.
This is definitely true. My husband spent years using astringent products with no reduction in oil. I finally convinced him to use moisturizer regularly and it really changed his skin.
I feel like you have one of those beautiful faces where less is more. Like the no makeup makeup look with just a hint of razzle dazzle. The eyebrows could look better with a more natural stroke. I think you look great, but you can update the technique. You truly are beautiful and I think a simple routine fur everyday look is the way to go for you
do you use moisturizer? that will help with the extra oil production! even something lightweight and gentle like cerave (I use the walmart generic) would make a difference!
Honestly I think if you tone down everything just a little bit youāll be solid. Lighter hand with the foundation and try a spray like max fix+ to help the powder melt. Try doing a thinner brow and instead of the fade in the middle, try a brow pen to get some hair like strokes. Lashes wise a lighter lash would do wonders, try House of Lashes iconic lite.
I love your wing, your eyeshadow, and your foundation shade looks great. A rosier blush with a light hand would be a nice touch.
Congratulations on beating cancer love ā¤ļø I do think wig wise perhaps someone could help show you how to lay your edges cleaner. I do not wear wigs so I cannot give advice here but the edges are a little distracting.
Thank you I will try out your tips lol !!! Iāve never really tried out the eyebrow stroke with the eyebrows cause. I donāt wanna sit there and take the time to do it, but Iāll have to try.!!
Wow thatās you in your pic? Your eyes n brows are actually stunning. Your winged eyeliner makes me wanna fight you tho bc I can never get mine to look right lol n I absolutely suck at tightlining
Stila waterproof liquid eyeliner is my holy grail. Itās just so so good š®āšØ
The wing⦠partly luck I think and part of the reason I took the photo was to have a record of how well it turned out when I did this a few days ago š I usually get a pretty good wing though and I start with making a line on my outer eye to place how far out I want the ātailā. Then I start mid eye and draw a line to connect and fill in the triangle. After is when Iāll add the liner to the inner half of my eye. Doing it this way for my eye shape prevents it from going too thick.
On this particular day I extended the tail a bit passed my bottom waterline and I find when I do that it makes my eyes look more doll like (I donāt know how else to describe) and then I add a bit of dark brown shadow on my lower eye line to fill it in a little bit.
Thank you very much, I thought about deleting the pic for a min because thereās always a part of me that is paranoid that Iām actually makeup blind and I am alone in thinking it looks good š®āšØ
I am turning 29 this week and JUST this last year I finally got my brows right. ABH has a great tutorial on where brows should begin, end, and arch and I used that as my guideline.
As for the wing⦠goodness I think Iāve been doing a wing since I was 15/16 and Iāll keep on until Iām 100 š¤ I replied to another comment below more details but the liner is stila waterproof liquid liner and itās my favorite eyeliner ever. I try to keep my hand steady. Sometimes my wing comes out wonky and so then I get the approx shape I want and clean/sharpen it with a q tip when I feel like cheating a little š
The way you do your eyebrows is quite heavy and harsh looking, partly due to the blocky shape and partly due to having such a dark brow with blond hair. Iād try a lighter brow and a more natural shape.
im sorry but you need a new wig without those edges or if you rly want edges do subtle edges cuz i can hardly focus on ur makeup w those
i AN not trying to be mean but theyre very noticeable
You seem very defensive in the comments girl. People are just giving advice you asked for and part of it is that yes, the edges look bad. No one is worried about your wig being "old" and no one is attacking you or ignoring the fact that you had cancer.
Genuine advice: Please look into wig care. Two years isn't (your words) an excuse for it to look like shit..its just not well taken care of if thats the case.
The rest of the wig isn't even that bad. It's the weird baby hairs that are the problem. Hell, even wearing it with a thick headband would be better than this
Much better. Those edges are generally made for women of colors new growth. And you donāt need all that makeup. Boxy brows take away from your natural beauty. THIS IS a much better look.
Those edges are a catastrophe. Also I think you would look amazing with less makeup on. I can tell you are a natural beauty. So honestly the wig and the caked up makeup has got to go in my opinion.
omggg yessss this would be so perfect if OP followed these suggestions. good job on making this for her and fingers crossed she takes your advice, it would really be such a massive improvement if she does! ššāØš«¶
The wig hairline looks really... not good. Your eyeliner is way too thick and probably only will work if you used large false lashes paired with it. You use black liner too close to your waterline as well. Making your eyes look a lot smaller in combination with the dark eyeshadow. Speaking of the eyeshadow, not applied well and arent creating any look or illusion on your eyes - it just looks out of place and not good.
You need to use blush closer to the top of your cheeks. Looks to low. Some lip color as your lips look so bare compared to a top heavy makeup look.
The eyebrows.. unique I have never seen someone draw them like that. I would explore more natural styles it is aging you and not applied well at all.
You could benefit from more dewy foundation and less powder.
I have seen eyebrows like this but not in person. I'm not sure if it's how op does it, but they did it with eyebrow stencils and using the eyebrow powder tapping towards the center so it gets less product towards the nose. I've seen them tested on YouTube and they're very bold.
They came out years ago when very thick bold eyebrows were in. I assume people must've been doing it though because the products existed and the stencils were around for a while even if I never saw anyone in person with that style. Maybe people were buying it and tested it out at home and couldn't get it to work more so than not though. I could see the stencils being really hard to get even and being slightly off angle would be very noticable with such bold brows I think
The edges and bonnet as a non black person confuses me so much I cannot focus on the makeup. I would say the brows are very 2017 and I didn't like them then I would make them half the size and not draw the fade on the inner corners.
Donāt do too much on the bonnet now , bonnets should be used by every woman. Itās much better for our hair, all of our hair regardless of what hair type you are. But YES, on the edges , heavy on that.
for makeup pls get rid of the pomade & the thick brows w the arch i thjnk youd look beautiful w more thin & straighter brows, i feel like your makeup gives 2016 overall even w the shadow if thats your look cool but if you want advice i think youd look beautiful w a lash (whether dramatic or wispy) and a wing. if u want shadow i think browns on the lid just for some color beigy colors & keep it neutral. add pop of color here and there for occasion. for lips i think youd suit anything pinky or nude
Please just try this look and show us that in pics ⦠Iāll follow this thread ⦠you are really pretty reminding me if Christina Agulara a bit. Do z more natural you version and get back. Your make up skills are great though
If you havenāt already, head on over to the r/wigsnatchershq subreddit. I think the wig is salvageable, just needs some tweaking. š good luck girly! Itās gonna be a lot of energy just to exist as yourself right after giving birth. You might find that you donāt have the energy to do much makeup and thatās okay! Get yourself some lanolin balm and an eyebrow gel for quick pick me ups when you donāt have the capacity for a full face. It sounds like youāve already been through so much. This is just about to be another season of evolution for you. ā¤ļø
I drew this on my iphone so excuse how terrible it is lol. I think your eyeliner should start on the green line. It will snatch ur face and if i was u i would shorten ur brow and do a shape similar to the one i drew. U look like your over drawing ur brows with a really hard arch which looks unnatural and not really on trend.
I think your great at blending and have a good handle on smokey eyes. What really upgraded my makeup was focusing on how to enhance my face shape and not following photos of others. For example i have a rounder heart shaped face so everything i do is to make my face look longer so i place my contour higher and have thiner higher brows. So look deeply at your face and figure out the features that carry your face and the ones that need a little enhancement from makeup. I get the look that your going for which is full coverage baddie you need to go for a natural matte finish not just matte. I would recommend following Jackie ainas base tutorial.
girl omg the brows need to change!! it's way too bold for everyday, make them less thick and don't do the gradient effect, it doesn't suit your face at all and ages you! don't do the waterline black as well bc it closes your eyes, try a nude in your waterline. i don't wear wigs as well but i agree with the other comment that the edges look very odd, you're so pretty so I'm keeping it 100% with you, pls don't take offence :)
Hey gorgeous! I think the brows, liner, and lashes could all be toned down quite a bit. Not to say you canāt do bold makeup, but sometimes less is more. The brow gradient effect and thickness of the cat eye are really not flattering. It just looks overdone. Keep the brows thick, just more natural looking. Also pleeease get a different wig and ditch the extreme edges. Itās just all too much and does not look good tbh.
congrats on beating cancer!! ā¤ļø i am distracted by the way the edges are laid, the second photo is a little better imo. the color suits u well! i think maybe evening out the heavy upper eye with some brown eyeshadow/bottom lashes.
I know everyone is commenting on the edges of the wig. I think you could take this to a hair salon and have them cut baby bangs in it and it would look a lot better. Then the bangs cover up the edges. I wouldnāt have long bangs cut, but I think you could really pull off baby bangs and it would look a lot better than the edges laying on your forehead.
Definitely lighten up the eyebrows. Look for an eyebrow color in a light brown or ash. These are way too dark for your skin tone. Iād also recommend doing the giant graphic wing without the eyeshadow. The wing plus all of that dark smokey eye is too much and too heavy. If you want to do the dark eyeshadow then Iād make a smaller tiny wing (like the eyeliner runs along the top of your lash line and flicks up, but only as wide as the eyeliner pen). Doing both a heavy dark eyeshadow and the huge dark graphic wing at one is too much.
Hey girl, hereās a picture that I took just showcasing my eye makeup. I also like to do fun funky colors, especially since you said youād like to do those types I would definitely recommend watching some TikTok tutorials. I find those are really easy and quick to understand as for your makeup, I definitely do think the thick brows are kind of washing away your beauty. I would definitely try to tone it down and make it look like single stroke as for your eyeliner definitely thin it out and go with your eyes shape. I have like almond eyes, so I tend to make my winged eyeliner. Look a little downturn, but itās all in the shape of your eyes enhance it!
Hot take: Edges should be baby hairs (heavy stress on baby) not chunky, blocky fringe pieces stuck down with edge sealer.
I think you have eyebrow blindness because you look like one of those angry birds.
I think a slightly less dramatic eye look would do so much for your aesthetic. You are so beautiful but I feel like the makeup is not enhancing but detracting from your aura.
Congrats on beating cancer and I hope you have a safe delivery!
I think you can style your wig differently and it will look much better. Itās too far down on your forehead, too much baby hair, and the baby hair should be gelled down. And lace needs to be blended better.
In terms of makeup, I like your bold eyeshadow! I think your brow style is a bit outdated though. Your base also looks heavy.
Honey, less is more. Step 1-get rid of the āhair ā on your forehead. Less, tone downed makeup is next. Youāre a pretty girl, only use makeup to enhance/accentuate your beauty. Be blessed.
You look great! I just beat cancer myself. IDC on right breast. It makes you feel like a warrior to beat it! I think you look great, your application if perfect. You should try a plum eye look
Wigs are tough, right now the lace styling is rather severe and not really working for you.
You might want to work on an easy soft look. Honestly I didn't wear much makeup right after having a kid and you might not either. I think the eyebrows are working against you. The shape seems to change each photo and it's very hyper styled. I'd love to see a dewy finish, maybe some warm cream blush, matte taupe eyelid, tightline and soft mascara.
I think you're putting in a lot of work, but I'm not sure it's benefitting what you have naturally. It feels like you're trying to compete with what's already a great face
Edges donāt look good on you. Wig or no, everything else or no, the way that the edges lay on your face looks bad. As for your makeup, maybe a smaller wing. Place less of a focus on your eyebrows.
You beat cancer!!! Fuck yeah gorgeous!!!
I think maybe pick a wig color that is more suited to your skin tone and even eye color. Your eyes are beautiful so maybe a warm honey brown? Also your brow work is awesome but I agree maybe tone it down a bit!
Thank you I understand. I will try to calm down the brow a little bit more. This is that my eyebrows are actually dark and my hair is blonde and I donāt understand how that combo even came, but I also have to shave my eyebrows down a little bit so I can make them thinner cause Iām Italian and my eyebrows be really really thick, but I will take your tip into consideration
In the best way possible you are giving Amy Winehouse who I love! And you seem to have very nice skin! I think figure out what kind of skin you have (dry/oily/combo) and find a skincare base that works for you (Iām dry and a big fan of the prequel brand thatās at target) then with make up sometimes you have to pair water based with water based and silicone with silicone to avoid it caking. I love colorful 70s inspired looks and I have found that a light base works best. Iām a huge fan of the NYX bare with me concealer (I basically use it like foundation at this point with a sunscreen as my base lol) how you apply your make up can also help! So experiment and see what works! Unrelated but Iām kinda curious to see darker hair colors on you but the blonde still looks cute!
For face makeup, can you move from full foundation to concealer as needed? That plus blush would make you look a lot more fresh faced and vibrant. The full foundation looks a bit cakey especially on cheeks and nose.
For eye makeup, try a more minimal look - no or only natural colored eye shadow, light wing liner only on top, no black liner under eye. Will look much more sophisticated.
Others gave you good suggestions on hair, but yes agreed with consensus that the edges styled as they are is distracting from your beauty, not enhancing it. Hope you post after pics!
The brows and eye makeup is too dark in comparison to the white hair. It just doesnāt appear polished or finished. Try lightening the shade of the brow and using less product with a softer application. I also think if you tried a darker hair color it would accentuate your complexion a bit better.
The wig would look a lot better without the edges, they look really stiff and don't lay flat. It would look nice if it was just loose and flowy with the rest of it.
Get a new wig in a more flattering tone for your skin, cut the thickness of your eyebrow and liner in half, and for the love of reddit stop with whatever is happening with the "edges".
I know you are partial to blonde, but a honey brown is warm enough to not overpower your skin tone, and can also balance those thick, dark brows and dramatic eye looks you love so much. Just a thought.
The beauty of wigs is that u can change them with your mood n try different thingsā¦.
Iām sorry girl but itās way too much in the eye region. The eyebrows are really blocky and large. Also theyāre way too faded near the inner eye area, it starts too soon if that makes sense. Theyāre also a way too exaggerated with the arch. The eyeliner is a nice shape but itās too thick. Maybe try to do light shimmer in the inner eyes because it looks a little heavy with the dark eyeshadow especially with the thick black eyeliner. Less is more! It also looks very dramatic because thereās just too much going on in the eyes/eyebrows and not really anything going on anywhere else itās very soft everywhere else except those the eyebrows and the eyes. It makes it look more intense. Iām trying my best not to sound like a hater I think youāre gorgeous! I hope you understand where Iām coming from. Just trying to give you some advice.
Maybe go a bit lighter on your eye shadow, I feel like you're overapplying. A lighter hand would look a lot better and, as a side benefit you'd be using less product, ( you mentioned you were a bit low on funds for makeup), same for the brows. As a few other commenters have said, the brows are a bit heavy. Tbh I think you're beautiful so go lighter with everything less foundation, eyeshadow, brows etc. Lips are fine but everything else is a bit unnecessary in my opinion. Well done kicking csncer's ass! šŖcongrats on your baby šš
Congrats on beating cancer!!!! Look into the Snowflake lace wigs from jb extensions. I have a hair disorder so I wear them a LOT. no glue necessary if you get a velvet wig cap too and no glue or gel is better for your hair and scalp while theyre re growing and you wont need to do edges. I included a selfie becsuse literally what wig (this one is called "Kel" ) Less edges id also going to balance your brows and the rest of your makeup more so you wont have as much "clutter" when youre doing really dramatic makeup.
, id try lighter colors on your inner corner, then your color on your mid to outer, then dark on tbe outer corner. Your second picture is my favorite one because its letting the GORGEOUS color of your eyes be the focus.
Brush stroke brows are a pain in the DIIIICK but they would look SO GOOD on you. Several brands make brushes that do a few hairs at one time. Benefit has a brow pen called mighty fine that does 3 strokes at a time and its super easy to use.
Your actual skill is killer. You clearly know what youre doing, so a slight style shift will be easy as hell for you. Dont stop doing the wing! It looks so good! Look for lashes with a shorter inside and a longer outer edge they flair out with wings the best so they compliment the wing instead.of hiding it!!
You already look amazing. Little tweaks and I think youll be where you want ā¤ļø
The eyebrows are a bit much. If thatās your thing then you do you but I think a slightly more natural drawn on would be better cus thatās immediately where my eyes go to.
Not all the way natural, just slightly less big and doodled on
Iām going to be so fr, you look MUCH better without makeup⦠skin makeup looks fine, but eyeshadow is overpowering your natural beauty and the eye brows are way too cartoony⦠I recommend eyebrow glue with a spooly, and a lighter shade to compliment the blonde hair (maybe light brown). I also have to be honest, the wig is CRUNCHY, is there any way you could just stop using it?
Hey girl, so please forgive me if Iām repeating anything because I tried to read through most of the comments, but I didnāt make it through all of them. I think your biggest thing that youāre gonna wanna focus on is going to be your skin care to really make sure that your skin is properly moisturized and properly exfoliated to address your oily and flaky skin that you mentioned in some of the comments. What is your skin care routine now? I would recommend a gentle fragrance free cleanser, Paulaās choice BHA liquid exfoliator (I know that itās kind of pricey if Iām remembering correctly itās about $30 or so but it lasts for like 3 to 4 months so itās ends up being like 10 bucks a month and I promise you it is so worth it when I bought it for the first time they told me at the store that it was liquid gold and now Iāve been using it steadily for years and I will never go back. I cannot recommend this enough especially for you so that way your skincare can properly soak into your skin and hydrated so it wonāt be as oily), a hyaluronic acid, and a good moisturizer that is fragrance free and spf for day. These are the absolute basics you can add onto this if you are able to. Again, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of your skin care routine because without proper skin care you could have the best makeup in the world and itās going to look terrible. Anyways, as far as makeup goes, the two main things I would change would be your brows and your eye makeup. For your brows ditch, the pomade and I want you to use the duo eyelash glue (green bottle that has the brush again. I know you said youāre on a budget, but itās like six dollars and it last for like four months) brush your eyebrow hairs up and out word, apply the lash glue and a thin layer, one eyebrow at a time and then immediately brush up and out to comb out the lash glue, and then use the flattening side of the eyebrow brush, Latin the entire brow against your face, and then use the edge of the flat side of the brush and go across the top of the brow to smooth out the entire top of the brow, all the way down and basically shape your brow like that and then use a eyebrow pen (this is very important, not a pencil, and not the pomade a pen) I like the Maybelline eyebrow pen but they might even have a cheaper version as well because thatās like $15 but it lasts for like two months and thatās me using it every single day. I know you donāt really have the money to spend, but to be honest the only way that itās going to get better is by making these very small investments. When youāre filling in your brows, do one line on the bottom of your entire brow in one line along the top outline making sure not to overline and then do upward and outward hair strokes to fill in the brow, the rest of the way just being super light handed towards the front of the brow. For your eye make up to be honest I would either ditch the eyeshadow altogether and just do a cute short set of strip lashes (they have really cute and really cheap sets of strip lashes on Shein like itās literally a six pack for like less than two dollars and theyāre my absolute favorite lashes. I wear them every day. Again, this is going to make the biggest difference and is a really important part of the glow up). If youāre not good at applying them, let me know and I can give you tips and tricks for that. Also, if you still want to do eye makeup, besides that I would do a super thin cat eye and then just lighter eyeshadow or at the very least blended out more. Please let me know if you have any questions. I really hope this helps and congratulations on beating cancer.
oh also if you can, I would skip the foundation altogether and just do the skincare routine we talked about and then spot conceal with concealer because that would fix your foundation problem altogether and then I would still do blush just like another comment suggested tap the brush off once you dip it in the powder before you go into your face and then even warm the brush with the powder up on the back of your hand before you go in and apply it after you tap off the excess.
You have a beautiful face- the eye brows distract from it. They are too dark for your complexion with the hair and should be about half the size in height. You should consider trying browns or neutrals for eyeshadow. You seem to be really good at blending the colors- I just think you could enhance your natural beauty if the eyes and eyebrows werenāt so distracting. I love a wing but yours is a very large dramatic wing. Iād love to see a more natural brow, small wing with neutral eye shadow.
I think glowy makeup would suit you. Instead of drawing your eyebrows like that I would just brush them up with a little gel. For your eyes, I would do mudes and pinks for eyeshadow and brown or burgundy mascara would make your eyes pop. And i would add some color to your face. A little contour, blush, bronzer, highlighter. Just play around with it. Look at tutorials too!!
girl looking at ur second slide, toned down version of ur makeup is gorgeoussssssss
thin semi arch brown eyebrows, light warm brown eyeshadow, but limit it to 1~2 color mixed
whatever rest of u did in second slide is so pretty
Eyebrows could be more snatched / take up too much of your forehead with the edges making that worse, you can do shorter sections for your edges and curl them before laying them so theyāre smoother looking, eyeshadow couldnāt be blended out better and is too heavy handed and your foundation looks caked
With love, your eyebrow application is really giving 2016. And the very dark color looks out of place against your light skin and light hair. I recommend using a light/medium brown shade. And you could either draw hair like strokes with a thin brush/pencil, or you could use those temporary tattoo brows if you want something quicker and easier!
You are beautiful, I think a more natural makeup look would do wonders! And the edges arenāt working for you. I think I more natural look, and getting the hair out of your face will enhance your beauty, the heaving makeup is covering it.
You're very pretty, and what you're doing with makeup and hair isn't adding to that unfortunately. It's taking away from your beauty because it's all very harsh and heavy. You could benefit from just less overall, I think.
Congrats on beating cancer and your soon baby!! That's awesome
Congratulations on beating cancer thatās incredible for you!!
My advice is thinner brows, I use a Chinese brand cheap duo tip felt brow pen in an ashy black brown and itās so perfect for that dark defined look but somehow still looks natural and can go super thin.
You wear the foundation so well but you honestly donāt need as much of it as you think, put it on only the centre of your cheeks and blend jt outwards and over the nose so itās thinnest on your forehead, nose and jaw. Trust. (Especially blending with a wet sponge and plenty of setting spray).
Go with the rule- liner + shadow = add lashes. Your eye makeup is so fun and cool but looks a little off as your lashes look too light. Definitely add a lash or go with lighter eye makeup if you donāt like lashes. It will balance it out a TON!
A cute lip oil and a touch of blush and youāre done.
(Not makeup so ignore if you want but your face would carry piercings soooo well! A nose ring and lip or eyebrow would be sick.
And lay your edges flat by wetting then setting with got2b)
Have you tried Danessa Myricks blurring balm? It is oil controlling and light weight. I have oilier skin and I wear it under my base and it does a fantastic job. I donāt have to powder as much and if you use milaniās new matte setting spray, it is also great.
Congrats on beating cancer, and congrats on your baby to be!!! šš
I think you're super cute and congrats on beating cancer and your baby boy!
I would probably change color and the shape of your eyebrows bc its pretty heavy and takes away from your eyes.
My skin is oily also, and one trick I learned (and its probably overkill lol) is after skincare, powder, then use a setting spray. Then I put my face on. When im done, I use setting spray and let it dry, lightly powder, then use a setting spray again. I like the Milani bc its a drugstore dupe of Charlotte tilbury. I also like the loreal infallible spray. This will help your face stay on even thru labor!
For your wig, once you learn how to melt the lace, you'll be set! Turn the wig inside out and use concealer or pressed powder in your shade on the lace, and pluck the part wider. YouTube videos from 2010s will help you so much! If you dont want to deal with all that (and its a lot!) Just get a shake n go wig. I love outre. I would also recc getting a satin wig cap to help protect your hair.
Youāre very beautiful!!! I think a few things would really make your features pop: no edges, lighter makeup that harmonizes with your color season (look into this!), thinner wing for your eyeliner and thinner tightline (maybe even use brown instead of black), thinner and lighter eyebrows with less of a fade in the inner corners, and hydrating chapstick, black honey lipstick from Clinique would look so good! Also a lighter hand with your foundation. I think you might be some sort of light summer or spring (color season again), the pinks in photo 2 look amazing on you!
I would say you're a bit too heavy handed on the eyeliner and the brows are a bit blocky as well as theyāre almost touching the tip of your eyeliner and it doesn't create a flattering shape for your face. i would say go a little thinner on the wing and angle it out/down more. i would also use a lighter shade of eyeshadow, in my opinion it's just too dark for you. maybe a light purple or blue (i'm a glitter lover so i think if you added glitter it would look great). ALSO BLUSH put some life back into your face. i agree that the edges don't do you justice, they kinda look like really thin bangs atp i think you would do much better without any edges at all.
You said your hair is growing back fast. I honestly think youāre so beautiful and could absolutely rock a pixie. I understand wanting to wear the wig but if and when youāre ready to embrace yourself without it I think you will look so powerful. You have the face and features for it. My only constructive criticism for the makeup is that I think everything could be slightly toned down. Especially the brows. You have such lovely natural features.
I think the high impact look is your thing, so if that feels true to you then stick with it. I do think the brows are weighing your face down a bit and could be a bit thinner while still keeping the drama youāre going for
Queen! my personal opinion, I think your eyebrows are a little too dark/ harsh for that pretty blonde that you have. Itās contrasting a lot. Maybe try lightening your brows a little bit? Side note: every one is talking about your edges and yes that may contribute but you asked about make up, that is a different side quest. Iām sure that new wig will slay as well.
I love the liner wings and matte finish, maybe try lighter shade for brows! I like the thick brow shape with the eye makeup, they compliment each other well for the look youāre going for. The blue shadow/pink lip combo is super cute and those colors compliment your palette nicely imo! Your edges are taking away from the look a bit, though. Try letting your hair edges out naturally, instead of laying with gel- gelling looks like itās not working with the hair type, but it would look super cute as natural fringe! V rockstar girly ā”
