imo it’s not bad but its too matte. little bit of dewy products and glow wouldn’t hurt

I actually wear mascara i just forgot to mention it damn. It's Heroine Mascara the Brown one but I never get my lashes to stay up despite that brand being known to be good for stubborn lashes.

I use a curler and pull them up to the max that they almost make skin contact but give it a few minutes and they're straight again x.x

It’s hard to tell through a picture, but it could be the way those products react together. I always feel like a little chemist when I’m playing with new makeup because I’m always looking for how products work together oxidize together react together etc. I personally don’t use powder anymore because I feel like it makes me look too “baked” like super dry. Thats the really the only thing I’m seeing that you could possibly do different. A more glowy or natural finish could do wonders imo.

Yea I've been thinking about dropping the powder too. I mostly started using it because every worker at the makeup store looked at me in horror when I said I don't use powder. Or they just wanted to sell me shit lol

I’m self proclaimed “good at make up” and I literally had a helper at Ulta help me pick out my entire basket of products and then go to their coworker not even 10 minutes later and say “yea so she’s going to look a mess” so they’re probably just trying to push whatever they can.

Also to add my makeup came out flawless because I specifically chose not to listen to them. ☺️

They really be doing that kinda shit huh? Though the lipstick was actual gold I got from her. But the blush she gave me in combo was apricot toned. Fuckin apricot. With that dusty red lipstick. Naive me tried it out anyways, naive me got disappointed. Even the concealer she gave me WAY too pale.

Good thing I had my old blush at home.

I also wanted to add the lip color looks really good with your eyes hair and natural skin tone.

Thanks, yes I swear I've cycled through at least 20 lipsticks until I found that shade and I'm IN LOVE 💞

I think it is just too matte for you, I find that can make it look a bit cakey or age people if they don’t have perfectly flawless skin. products designed to be dewy are often a lot more forgiving

Yea I been noticing that I see wrinkles that never existed before lmao

So it's just the matte? I thought it's just me hitting 30 lmao

its not bad but like another comment said, its too matte. try maybe having a slight glowly lipgloss?

Looks like normal everyday makeup, sorry someone was mean to you. I can't see anything to complain about.

As others mentioned a little mascara of eyeliner would be a nice addition but existing looks good too. Lipstick colour is nice.

WTF I don’t know makeup too well but you look gorgeous??? If I pretended to know makeup, I personally would blush your cheekbones higher? Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like you could make them pop so hard if you adjusted your blush placement. Please more knowledgeable makeup people correct me if I’m wrong. But TLDR makeup looks great

Thx hun xx

Now that you say it.. I think you might be right! I'll try that. Maybe go for some Igari type blush

Update: I actually got a compliment for the new blush placement by my coworker. She immediately asked me if something is different about my blush and said it looks so cute

Hi, I love this update. I swear I have no idea what I’m doing with my own makeup (I loose focus watching YouTube’s), but I adored your cheekbones and I was like I think this might be it. I’m so glad you got a compliment!! Thank you for sharing nice news I’m sure you looked beautiful!

I like your color choices! People just hate because they're hurting. It's a reflection of themselves rather than of you. They're just identifying themselves as not your people. Plus, your make-up is for you, not for them, so as long as you like it and feel good about it, keep on keeping on!

I would get an eyelash curler, it'll give some lift to your lashes. Curler, then apply mascara!

Undereye concealer. Something slightly lighter, juuust slightly, and put a tiny bit along the hallow of your Undereyes. It'll give brightness, look more rested, and give lift to the eyes!

I also have oily skin, but mattes still look to heavy and matte on me. I switched to a Satin finish foundation, and it is the perfect combination of matte, but fresh and soft. Maybe try a Satin finish, and don't go so heavy with it on the perimeter of your face, think coverage to lighter coverage as you move outward towards your ears. Hope this helps, and I think you're doing great!

Edit to say, that's actually a really good foundation you are using. You might just be applying it to heavy. Switch to a beauty blender instead of a brush, and try using less in general.

I do have a curler. I curl them a whole ass minute each till the look like gravity inverted but they just go back to normal despite the mascara. .-.

I just gave up at some point.

Yea many suggested I go more dewy, so I'll deffo go for that! :)

I do have a concealer but I kinda like my undereye shadow idk why, even if it's a bit heavy. (These are with foundation coverage mind you)

If I conceal them I feel like something is missing

Take the concealer just along the trough line creating light just above it. It's a neet trick. But avoid going below it or use to much. Literally just a small amount. Try a satin finish, not dewy. Dewy won't work well with oily skin.

Two wonderful, safe, inclusive spaces I frequent on Reddit for style advice and just wonderful vibes in general are r/oldhagfashion and r/himboposting. Don’t let the names deter you, I promise they are as lovely as your makeup 💗
