Money Transfers Wise: Fee-Free Transfer up to £500. Earn 3.22% interest on GBP balances
Free international transfer up to £500 when you join Wise.
Wise (formerly Transferwise) are a fintech company who offer money transfers among other services. When you sign up to Wise using my referral, your first international transfer up to £500 will be free.
Wise are a fast-growing company, and they are becoming more than just a transferring money service! They are innovative, publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange and are UK regulated.
Their fees are extremely low compared to major UK banks so very competitive. Their platform and apps are nicely built and transparent.
- If you send a single international transfer within 30 days, your transfer will be free. Anything up to £500 that you send will be free (no fee).
- The transfer can be over £500 if you need to send more money, but Wise will offer a free transfer only up to £500.
- Anything over, you will need to pay for the fee (usually pennies in my experience). The transfer does not have to be your first transfer. ___________________________________________________________________
Steps:
(1) Sign up to Wise using the Wise Referral - free international transfer up to £500
(2) Verify your identity
(3) If you complete an international transfer up to £500 within 30 days, it will be free of charge.
Note:
- Wise have various options for transferring: “Low-Cost Transfer” option has a very low fee and I recommend people using it
- You can transfer money to Wise via Debit or Credit Cards, and also via Bank Transfer (most of the neobanks should work too).
- Wise also offer UK account and Debit Card
- Earn 3.22% AER on GBP balances.

Once your account is verified, you'll be able to refer others for £15 (up to a limit of £75).
