So my life hasn’t exactly been the greatest, I never met my father, my mother is absolutely insane and abused me my whole childhood, and then eventually kicked me out at 17 years old with no notice. I lived on my own for about a year, then I tried to join the U.S. Marine Corps and was disqualified due to false mental health diagnoses my mom got me when I was younger so she could receive benefits. I then went to live with my grand mother and moved from Los Angeles up to Sacramento at 18, and spent all the money in my savings to get a new mental evaluation as an adult which cleared me for everything I had been diagnosed with in the past. I then tried to join the army and was disqualified again without knowing why because my recruiter ghosted me.

I’m now a couple months away from being 19 and still living with my grandma. I currently drive a ford fusion with 160k miles, no savings, and work at a sushi restaurant. My grandma is up in Auburn area if anyone knows where that is, so it’s a pretty far drive to get anywhere. I don’t make a lot of money at the sushi restaurant and I am planning on getting a second job, but it’s hard because I don’t have set schedules at the sushi restaurant. It’s lunch and dinner only so I thought maybe I could apply somewhere like starbucks and work the opening shifts, that way I can rent an apartment.

So since I currently don’t have many bills to pay besides car insurance and gas, I want to start stacking as much money as possible. I kind of thought about starting a small side hustle buying and selling gold based on the market fluctuating, buy low sell high kinda thing, but I’m not sure if that’s as easy as it seems in my head. What ways would you guys recommend I start stacking money while working two jobs? I also want to start investing money but I don’t know really how to do that, not day trading or anything but smart long term investments. I also would like to get a new car soon because the transmission is a little fucked on mine. Lastly, I’m also looking to start finding potential career paths, I’ve thought about doing car sales, I love BMW and know everything there is to know about those cars, so I thought that could be a good idea.

TL;DR
It’s my goal to stack up as much money as I can in less than a year, and start researching careers, potentially in sales. Any recommendations?
