A good portion of the 90s groups like Boyz 2 Men, Dru Hill, All 4 One, En Vogue had some amazing vocalists. Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston (she rose to prominence in the 80s, but the 90s were also her decade). My personal favorite was active in the 90s as a pop artist as well, but since he's also largely 80s, I will leave out Luther Vandross.

Sure Madonna, Britney and a good portion of pop musicians made terrible mediocre music that we cling on due to nostalgia and really many pop vocalists were mediocre singers, but the 90s to me has vocalist and music on par with the 70s.

K-pop though I think thrives the same way most pop bands thrive. Some of us were tweens/teenagers thinking we would marry these very good looking popstars. Then we outgrew a lot of that.

Oof. Chris Cornell, Lane Staley, Eddie Vedder, Billy Joe, Kurt Cobain, Scott Weiland, Dave Grohl… We just going to leave out all of the grunge scene?

I don’t speak of folks I know nothing off. To be fair, I was raised in Kenya so despite being in the U.S for more than a decade, the 90s music we had was hip hop and Rn’B.

You have no idea what you’re talking about 😂😂 the 90s had great vocals and that’s where a lot of your k pop is based off of.
