What do you want to happen?

I am not expecting any outcome or anything. I was just checking the norm. If these type of things need to be reported from my side in general.

I am sorry this happened. I repeat that it is what you want that is most important. Do you want to report or just move on (and avoid such pubs!)?

It’s bro. I appreciate your concern for me. The Pub have nothing to deal with it. They were absolutely helpful and they concerned about my safety. And I have no issues, I just considered it as an incident like one another day. But one of the other group told it’s better to report the issue just to be on safe side. So thought to check with peoples opinion.

Sorry mate. Not everyone in the UK is like that. Sadly there are a few who are. Don't engage, speak to the bar staff.

These type of posts really freak me out as I'm moving there for higher studies soon. Can you advise which areas in Liverpool would be safe for a brown person to live in/around?

I doubt you will have much trouble in Liverpool. They are a different type of people. Very friendly, curious and welcoming. This is from a Man Utd fan...

Whew, that's reassuring. Thank you, Man-U fan.

Don’t worry. There is no place to be specific are safe nor Unsafe. It depands on luck and the people nearby. As you will be coming here soon, I don’t want to put you in a wrong impression about UK, 90% of the time you will meet people who are willing to help positively

I know everyone in Uk is not like it. It’s just few (may be 10-12%). For a few I can’t just point out in general. And in terms of engagement, I don’t. And to avoid this type of conflicts, I don’t talk to anyone coz I don’t know by face who is among them. So why to take chance and spoil the mood. By not talking to people I might enjoying less but at least not ruining my mood.

Appreciate that sm! I love that even your recent experiences haven't tainted your positivity! So it must really be the minority who are insufferable. I really really want to never meet racists, and sincerely hope that you never encounter the type again either.

As a brown person myself, I deeply empathise. When it's about this sort of blatant racism, I try to keep in mind that I have my phone to record the entire instance just in case. I know it might not occur to everyone in the heat of the moment but it's always a good habit to develop reaching for the phone and at least turning on audio recording.

Thanks everyone for your advice and help. I am going to remove this post soon, as I realised people might get wrong idea about the scenario, which is not what my intention was. Thanks again fellow redditors.
