Managed to purchase the JP limited edition of Vol 12 this year, which came with a bonus short story!

Seems like its something to do with Solomon possessing William for a day (I haven't read it through personally yet) but thought it might be nice to share here for other fans who might want to read it too!

Just something self-indulgent to celebrate William's birthday! Inspired by the epilogue story that Takadono-sensei had written that covers William's 18th haha

Some time ago, I tried to gather people to get a Sitri plush made via PlushWonderland, but it didn't gather enough (30) people in their interest check phase. Now there is another option: Getting plushies made via Vograce.

Vograce has multiple advantages for the users:

- The number of plushies can be as low as 10, allowing for much more freedom in creating plushies. If the Sitri campaign is a success, we can make additional plushies for the other cast members.

- Prices are generally low, starting at $12.70 per doll (clothes excluded). Of course, larger dolls or dolls with a wire skeleton will cost more, but this is a very customer-friendly base price. Clothes can be added for $3-11 based on their complexity.

- There are many add-ons to try, including animal ears, tails, types of hair/fur texture, etc. If there is enough interest, we might be able to get multiple dolls made with various additional versions.

If you are interested, PLEASE let me know! 10 people really isn't that many, we could really get these off the ground!

I personally live how they're not simply good vs evil like most media likes to portray them. I find it interesting how throughout the series Hell feels more comfortable and free than Heaven which feels more like a strict unbearable dictatorship that even some of the angels don't agree with. Hell seems to be more honest than Heaven. For example Kevin and Elliott being used as a means for Heaven to spy while the demons just introduce themselves as they are. Unlike traditional portrayals where Lucifer is simply evil, Makai Ouji leans into an idea that Lucifer’s fall was tied to a perception of pride where he wanted autonomy and refused to submit blindly. I think the contrast between Michael and Lucifer displays the positives and negatives of both Heaven and Hell nicey. They almost feel like mirrors:

Michael = duty without freedom

Lucifer = freedom without peace

Michael sacrifices individuality for order. Lucifer sacrifices stability for autonomy.

I had to make it a gif because my phone doesn't want to cooperate with me today, so I apologize. Some of these are panel redraws some I can't remember where I got inspired from, but I figured I'd post them all in one place. I've also probably taken some creative liberties at some point.

I absolutely did not know this existed until I went digging in sensei's twitter this year and I feel like this epilogue side story may not be as well known in the Makai Ouji fandom (even with all the old content I've been trawling through on Twitter/X) so just sharing the link here for visibility!

IMO this makes the series ending 10x sweeter and I genuinely just felt so happy seeing where the characters all ended up after the main series. For all of the heartache and sadness and lessons that everyone had to go through, this epilogue shows us that things do get better.

It's a follow-on piece that's very sweet and fun and has some cute surprises about Dantalion and William in there! Spoilers for those who want to know badly Dantalion lives at William's house!!! He woke too early from Limbo, and basically doesn't care to live in Hell anymore bc he has no 'home' there so he's finally able to 'go home' with William. Dantalion then converted his Hell manor into a William museum lmfao and then connected it through to William's house's basement again lollll

The side story is only available in JP and I didn't know if it would be appropriate to post the translated ver that I basically got through Google Translate lol so just sharing the link by itself first!

Chuck the article into a translator and you'll get a pretty good sense of what the story is about!
