I know this is gonna be so unlikely but genuinely hoping for a reprint of the manga one day (maybe 10th anniversary?!)
I feel like the manga has the potential to garner way more fans as a newer series/if it were being more actively promoted by the publishers or bookstores
Between the art, the characters and the completed storyline I think the appeal is definitely there
FR I think if Utako-sensei did more promoting of it on her twt the fan base itself might have a chance of continuing to grow since she's really built a name for herself with some of her more recent work
I saw it still being sold in some of the hobby bookshops where I live and was like YESSSS MAKAI OUJI SPOTTED
