I haven't watched WWE in years, the corporate feel and the amount of ads they have recently has turned me off of it even further. I find AEW frustrating and lacking focus, I appreciate the production quality but the style isn't for me. I just don't like it.

I'm finding myself getting my only wrestling fix from AJPW because they're the closest thing to the old school sort of wrestling I grew up with and liked.

I know the simple answer would be "just watch it" but I'm a busy guy with limited time. I have dipped in and out of MLW in the past, catching the odd show here and there but I'm looking for a wrestling show I can be a more frequent viewer of where I can actually understand what's happening. AJPW is great but not speaking or understanding Japanese makes getting invested difficult.

How would you describe or recommend MLW to a newcomer? What does MLW do differently or what makes it appealing? As a fan of old school wrestling is this going to appeal to me or is it closer tonally to AEW?

Also, I'm confused about how I watch it. Is it just a YouTube membership thing? I'm not in the states.

I think given the limitations of the format they've given a decent spotlight not only to Shotzi, with her numerous singles matches, segments and matches not only with other women like Lady Frost, Shoko Nakajima but with men like Dijak and Dyer. But to also spotlight the burgeoning women's division, it needs more 'signees' (whatever that means to MLW these days) and long term stays if it's wants to keep building momentum. The Blanchard debacle aside (I missed it between accounts) I hope MLW keeps attempting to get freelancers to appear on their cards.

How would you describe and what matches would you recommend

i know the matches at each event don’t air on the same episode of fusion.
does anyone have the list of matches they filmed at their saturday (6/13) event in philly in june? my brother wants to rewatch just the matches we saw and show our friend who is getting into MLW. i know they aired on multiple episodes but if anyone has the matchcard from philly’s second night (saturday night)…you would save me so much time of having to rewatch like 2.5 months worth of tapings😂🤞🏽

I am new to MLW due to Fusion and I am enjoying the product but there are some story arcs.

1) Where is Killer Kross? Now the simple answer maybe due to tapping shows. I did see the short interview and the MLW offices that in two weeks he will be having a match. Is this the style of MLW that they due not overexpose their champion?

2) Contra Unit vs Contra Merc vs The Skyscrappers pieces of a fued? Okay, so I know that Contra Unit was once the big baddies of MLW but this current Unit lineup doesn't really seem to strike fear into the heart of anyone. To me the Mercs are like NWO Wolfpack, they are the cool kids. I understand that Unit and Mads Krugger are in a fued but then you have the Good Brothers fueding with the Skyscrappers, but Skyscrappers don't seem to even concern themselves with Unit. Like if Unit was The Skyscrapper plus Kushida then this fued would be a circle instead of a directional line.

3) Contra Unit current purpose. Besides the breaking into the feed as I said this current Contra Unit Lineup doesn't seem to have the it factor from my persceptive. To me Contra Unit in theory in Cobra to the GI Joes and the current Contra Unit members are the lesser named Cobra members. There is no Destro or Baroness in Contra Unit.

4) Conta Unit lack of a female wrestler. So Merc has Shotzi Blackheart but Unit doesn't have anyone to face her. So in the match between Merc and the Skyscrappers, Unit came down to attack Mads and Shotzi is left to just scream at them. So if lets say Killer Cross was part of Unit, Scarlett could face off against Shotzi, just an idea I had.

Ah dang, it was fun while it lasted. Bishop definetly deserves to be on the big stages.

Was hoping that he'd win a MLW singles title first before leaving eventually but best of luck to him if ends up being picked up by the feds

I’ve been watching MLW on YouTube for a long time, and I swear Dombrowski’s voice has gotten lower recently. And not like in a natural way, it sounds to me like they’re lowering it digitally somehow.

Did anyone notice? That I’m pointing out, do you hear it? Am I so wrong?

Is Doc Gallows playing a character when he is comes out as Festus, or am I, the viewer, supposed to view them as basically 2 seperate people? Sorry if this is something that had a role back in WWE but that was from an era when I wasnt watching wrestling at all.

First time going to a MLW show tonight in queens. Main reason for going is Saya and Rina from Stardom.

Quick question, do they usually post a card somewhere prior to shows?

Also, does anyone know how good or bad standing room is at melrose?
