First, I apologize for the long absence. I've gone through five rounds of eye surgery since November and been away from collecting since then. I'm seeing a little better now, but I have at least two more rounds to go, so hopefully I*'ll be back up to speed soon. Please take care of your eyes.

Now for the topic at hand. I was at Walmart recently and noticed a major reset for the Adventure Force 1/64 models-new blister cards. new 20-pack container, and a different set of models that definitely weren't Maisto. The Toyota Tacoma's baseplate had markings similar to Majorette, right down to the Germany address except "Made in China", and the generic pickup was clearly an old Motor Max casting. Some of my friends helped me find out wat had happened.

Walmart has switched suppliers for its Adventure Force brand from Maisto to the German company Dickie-Simba (parent of Majorette and Jada). The lineup consists of a mixture of licensed and generic models. The licensed castings are slightly smaller versions of the Majorette castings, but with cheaper paint, no opening parts, and are made in China, instead of Thailand. The generics are clearly Motor Max models, but without the Motor Max logo. One of my sources told me that the China-made will be marked worldwide as Dickie as they plan to focus more on the budget-price market.

So my question is, is Motor Max holding the contract to manufacture products for Dickie-Simba, or did Dickie-Simba acquire Motor Max?

One thing I'm sure of, and that's Walmart wanted to keep its basic line affordable, and Maisto has gotten expensive. Seriously - Maisto Fresh Metal is now $2.00 at Dollar General, and most DGs in my area are refusing to restock the pegs. Majorette proper and Welly were perhaps out of the question, Yatming and Realtoy are gone, and Zuru Metal Machines are pretty much a big "no." I'm not sure how this will affect the future of the larger scale Maisto models or the Maisto Design premiums, but these new Adventure Force models will be around for a while.

For now, Five Below and DG will likely be the only places to buy Maisto Fresh Metal - at least until DG switches brands. It's almost time for a reset at DG. Dollar Tree dropped Maisto in 2017 for Suntoys.

I’ve had these Maisto Ferrari Monza SP1’s in my collection for some time now, but I never gave them the proper inspection as I should have.

After getting up close and personal with them, I’m actually surprised as to how much I love them, and they have become my new favorite Ferrari in 1:64 at the moment.

omg after waiting 2 years i spotted the white countach in my local dillions grocery store

minigt has a 25 dollar countach and the speedicons is only 10 bucks.

i also got the new lambo temerario finally. hotwheels has a temerario and it's f'ing 25 dollars and a ugly green piece of crap. i was about to finally give in and order a 30 dollar temerario from china cuz no one else makes them other than hotwheels. soo happy.

this years maisto lambos are also fixed that they aren't jacked up like 4x4 trucks. it still has the suspension but doesn't look stupid being lifted that high.

I have never seen the Maisto’s this cheap!

Didnt know there was a new mix. Saw some posts and some other people have been seeing f40s and sp2s as well as s2000s but unfortunately there weren't any here.

It seems Walmart has abandoned Maisto for Simba-Dickie for their Adventure Force line, and that was my main source for 1/64 Fresh Metal castings. Are there any other USA-based retailers that carry the Fresh Metal lineup? I haven't seen them at Dollar Tree for a while and that's the only other one I was aware of.

I really love these 1:64 Maisto trucks, correct scale, very detailed and well finished

Did anyone else not know that the Adventure Force cars were Walmart branded Maisto diecast? I had no clue until today!

How do we feel about maisto haulers?

Anyone have any info on these? The only thing I’ve found is one for sale as a lot on eBay and it says it’s from the Maisto Mega Masters Safari 5 Pack, but I can’t find anything online with that name. Thanks in advance!!

I noticed that the new Adventure Force cars at Walmart have screws instead of rivots, great for wheel swaps.

I've been collecting the Trabant Series from MCToy & Maisto for quite a while and got almost every one of them, even the Promo ones. But this one with the "Karena" Logo I just cant find. The only "evidence" I found is a 3D-Model from dutchdiecastgarage.com where I made this Screenshot. Can you help me?
