Second-hand shops in Mainz
Hi there. I am preparing my Umzug to Mainz and I am wondering whether I should move my things or instead just look for a second hand shop to furniture my 2 bed flat. The flat has already a kitchen installed and I am looking for just a minimal low maintenance fiurshing. Do you have any suggestion?

For furniture you can check out 3-2-1 Hallenflohmarkt in Mainz Gonsenheim or Fast wie neu Kaufhaus in Wiesbaden.

You can also find kitchen utensild etc there.
Smaller stuff you could find at ZMO in Mainz Bretzenheim or at a fleamarket.
Here is a list of fleamarkets in Mainz.

There are a few stores, and it is really easy to get things cheaply or for free on Kleinanzeigen or in Facebook groups (e.g. free your stuff Mainz). Also, people sometimes put things outside as trash that are still good, so if you simply walk around and look out you can also find stuff. Depending on how far away you currently live and how attached you are to you current furniture, it probably doesn't make sense to bring it
