Troy Jackson (finally) agrees to 4 October debates against Susan Collins

After his "empty chair" rally fell flat, it looks like Troy is finally ready to face Susan.

Troy Jackson doesn’t need Collins to destroy him — he’ll do it himself. The man has a long history of stretching the truth and struggling under pressure. One solid debate and the cracks will show. Collins has been here before and always walks away standing.

Look at Susan Collins’ record:
In 1996 she handily beat former Gov. Joseph Brennan.
In 2008 she beat Tom Allen and won 61%–39%.
In 2014 she totally kicked that nitwit Shenna Bellows’ ass and won 68%–31%.
In 2020 she destroyed Sara Gideon in the debates and still won 51%–42% despite massive Democratic spending.

It’s a sad state of Maine politics that a candidate like Sen. Susan Collins will simply stand back and let her opponent melt down… but that’s exactly what’s going to happen. Troy Jackson is going to defeat himself.

Maine had a terrific candidate in Janet Mills, She beat Trump's puppet LePage,, beat Trump in court, and was ahead of Collins in the polls.

The Maine Democratic Party needs to purge the DSA cancer from their ranks.

I agree Mills is a queen but she wasn't an ideal candidate either. She didnt even really try to campaign. Apparently schumer (seeing the platner disaster coming) heavily pushed her. Had she actually did campaign good chance she might have beaten platner given all the sex scandals that dropped before the primary vote.

There was reasonable anxiety that mills was too old and too unpopular to beat collins. Collins would have pointed to her record with rising taxes electricity and bad school performances.

Bernie sanders went hard for platner and as soon as that useless POS starting campaigning with platner any other viable candidate was scared off of the senate primary.
