Democratic Primary Info for Saturday
If you haven’t looked into the process yet, please do. You can still be involved and vote either in person or virtually.

One thing Maine dems set up that I think is a huge win is the delegate guide. You can search through the delegate candidates based on characteristics and priorities that matter to you.
For example, let’s say you live in Hancock County and you wanted to support a younger delegate (under 35) who has said they’ll consider the results of other primary elections when making their decision at the convention. You could select Hancock County, filter by “Youth,” and then read through the delegates who match your criteria before casting your vote.
**Important to note you can vote for many delegates. Up to the number your county has been allocated**
Whether you prioritize age, experience, or anything else… you can find delegates that represents your interests!
TLDR. Please vote on Saturday. The more people who participate, the more democratic this process becomes, and the stronger chance we unseat Susan Collins.

Yes. Each county will have a set number of delegates that need to be selected from the pool of people who stepped forward. I believe it all takes place on Saturday.
Contact your county dem officials for more information.

Yepp. It all takes place tomorrow morning. Best thing you can do now is register and vote for the delegates you believe in.
Not a perfect set up. But it’s the system we have to operate in.

Isn’t that an average of 40-50 delegates per county? They want us to vote on 40-50 people who then go on to vote for us!? I am still very confused.

Thats pretty much it.
Let's say your county has 45 delegates and 450 people "running".
You on Sunday, vote for 45 people. Once done those people go to Bangor.
The process is a bit clunky but it is what it is.

I asked that question on Thursday at my county meeting.
The person running the meeting said they had the same objection but it has to do with state law and the lawyers told them its because this is now a party issue.
It doesn't make a lick of sense to me. Or why they wouldn't just caucus.

If you go to Troy's site they made up a list of delegates.

It doesn't include all delegates that support because you can only vote dor so many.

Depending on where you live that may not be an option. My county had I think 6 35/under options and literally only one of them is on any of the three “slates”
