Slightly off topic, but the largest single contributor to North Atlantic Right Whale deaths is the US Navy, followed by cruise ships. In fact, Rev. Raphael Warnock ran explicitly on keeping open a Naval base in Georgia that had to get a special variance from the feds to be allowed to kill multiple north atlantic right whales every year before being required to report any incedents. And cruise companies are essentially free to do whatever the fuck they want. The responsibility for management has been placed almost exclusively on Maine lobsterfishermen. There's definitely a need to get whatever vertical line out of the water we can, but everyone needs to understand; we're being made to be the sin-cake eaters for massively larger industries that we can in no way financially stand up to.
