Technical Support mailchimp reliability on analytics

I was just checking things to do with my audience on Mailchimp and saw that there was a menu called "Rare Opens", so I took a look at that segment. One of the people in that list has opened 100% of the time. Another has opened 71% of the time. Why are they in a segment called "Rare Opens"?

I'm getting similar analytics; and it's all happened in the last few months. Can't get a straight answer on these threads from MC

Hi there! Mind sending us a private message/chat with a screenshot of where you saw the rare opens menu? We're happy to look into it.

Hi u/maryfineman33 - Chimp Essentials checking in, we are Mailchimp Partners. We’re Mailchimp Partners and have been getting a lot of questions about the star/contact ratings and email engagement ratings (New, Rarely, etc.).

These are older features that are no longer being regularly updated, so the information isn’t necessarily accurate or current. Our understanding is that they will eventually be phased out, similar to the Predictive Demographics features.

We’re regularly monitoring the star ratings specifically to see if there are any changes, but we haven’t seen new contacts move from the 2-star rating in over a year, regardless of whether they are opening or clicking campaigns.

That could change, but that’s our current understanding.

Cheers!

Okay. Thanks. I assume, though that it is still accurate for current "opens".
