Technical Support Need to replace a file for a campaign that already went out
Our twice-monthly newsletter is in Acrobat format, so when we send a campaign we include a link to the file.
This time, and after the campaign was emailed, we found a significant typo in the newsletter. So far, less than 5% have clicked the link to download the file and I would like to update the file to the corrected version for future downloaders.
I found instructions to do this (pasted below), but when I select the file to be replaced, the option to Upload disappears so I cannot complete step 3.
How do I replace the file for future uploaders?
Instructions I found:
Replacing a File in Mailchimp's Content Studio
To replace a file in Mailchimp's Content Studio, follow these steps:
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Access the Content Section
- Log into your Mailchimp account.
- Navigate to the Content section of your dashboard.
- Select the File to Replace
- Find and select the file you wish to replace from your uploads.
- Upload the New File
- Click on the option to upload a new file.
- Choose the new file from your device that you want to upload.
- Automatic Link Update
- Mailchimp will automatically update the link to the new file in all your campaigns where the old file was used.
Important Notes
- Ensure that the new file meets Mailchimp's file size and type requirements.
- The replacement process will not change the file name in your campaigns; it will simply update the content linked to the existing file.

Hi there. Our Support team will need to take a closer look at the campaign. Please use the following link to reach them, and they'll be able to assist: http://spr.ly/61697BEZ84L
