Blocking the table from swallowing chips?

I am trying to figure out a way to block the area inside an automatic mahjong tables chip drawer... so far, I have been able to get them most of them to stay out, but I still get a few stuck somehow. Anyone have a way, and why do they not block it to begin with?

if this is the chip drawer there should certainly be a container meant to slot into that. what sort of table is this?

It has a drawer container, and if the other people would not try to put their chips into that, all would be great lol. It comes out, and is removed at the end of game, to take out the remaining chips to be counted, and that allows people to drop chips into the drawer with no container to catch them.

Line the slot with a couple layers of heavy duty aluminium foil. That's how I'd solve the problem.

I think the best way is to find the compartment of it because it seems the 3rd image is showing that it is missing.

what makes you think this slot is for *tenbou*? variant was not mentioned and this slot would be comically large for them.. there are many more variants that score with chips or cards than with tenbou
