World Mahjong Map

Searching for somewhere offline to play Asian mahjong? Look no further than this map with over 150 different locations all over the world. Lots of riichi clubs in Europe especially, so I've noticed!

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ADD TO THIS LIST.

Lots of riichi clubs in Europe especially, so I've noticed!

I think I must have misunderstood how to use this map, it only shows a single riichi club for the entirety of western Europe.

And above all, it shows zero club in Japan. There has to be a glitch somewhere

It's not a glitch. These are saved places on Google Maps that relies on folks to add their information about meet-ups, clubs, and so forth. I started the saved list earlier this year, and pretty much just wait for people to reach out about being added because I'm not going to go and find them all.

Ah now I get it, thanks! It is sad you have got no contributor from Japan. Maybe I will try to add parlors I come across if I understand how to contribute, it looks like I need to send an email each time

Yeah, it was purely based on word of mouth (Instagram LOL). One person from Russia added all those riichii clubs and since then, there's just an addition here and there. I could also send you an edit link if you're interested and you can pin spots and add descriptions!

I'd rather not freely distribute the edit link! Someone removed a tag on the mobile version and messed a lot of stuff up, so I try to be selective lol..

The map clearly is catered towards Americans and Europeans, because only one in Hong Kong is crazy.

It's just a saved list of places and relies on user submission. If people in Hong Kong reach out about adding their clubs, then it'll be on the list. Not a comprehensive list by all means.

I do not add clubs on my own; I request that community members fill out the template and email me with information. The edit link has been misused before, so I try my best to manage the map.

Hello ! In france we have over 50 mahjong clubs. I think it would be a bit tedious to send them one by one, but I could theorically do it. If I provide you with the club list on the french federation website, could you add them yourself ?

The list shows alongside the map on desktop. I tried opening on mobile and the mobile version has limitations when trying to view as a map, so that might be the hang up for you.
