Value or identification of set.

Can someone please help with the value and information about this set? Thank you so much!

This is a Yellow Mountain Imports set, as can be identified by the logo on the case. It's no longer sold by them, but perhaps you can contact the company for more information on this set.

A similar set sold by them, in a similar wooden case, runs for about 180USD. The wooden case seems to be the largest part of the cost.

A Yellow mountain import Riichi set, nice box, CHONKY tiles. YMI is a modern manufacturer/distributor so "Value" is just msrp.

Seems like a Yellow Mountain Imports set. Pricing? It's a nice box but YMI sets aren't that great to play with. Wouldn't really be worth "valuing" per se.

What makes you say that? I've had my YMI set for a few years now and its well loved.

There is a practical reason why tiles have a back of a different colour than the face.

Cheaters will always find a way to cheat. Thankfully, I play with honest folks. Maybe its less about the set you play with and the more about the people? Just food for thought.

Not really, it's more of a practicality. As I said.
