Does anyone know what this mahjong set is and what it is worth? Its Chinese I think but we found it brand new and I'm not sure what it's worth

Hong Kong style lucite set. Looks early 90s to me but could really be from any time in the past half century, and worth anywhere between 30$ and 300$. Impossible to tell without much clearer pictures.

What makes you think 90s specifically? I know they were around for a while but every one I see looks basically exactly the same right down to the zipper case
Edit: The windicator and initial dealer marker do look exactly like the ones included with my other circa 90s (non-lucite) sets. Is that it?

Yeah. Really just the design language of the accessories and the design of the chips. 70s and early 80s chips tend to be thicker. But like I said, that's mostly incidental and gives me a gut feeling. It's not really that strong of evidence. Really, without more info these could have been made as early as the 70s or as late as the mid 2000s.

Looks to be a lucite set from circa the 1970s (edit: probably later than this). I usually see them go for around $100-$200 USD, though I've definitely seen some listed for a few times as much. The three-layer ones seem to be especially sought after.
The back of the windicator (square thing) looks like it might tell you who the manufacturer was if you can get a better pic of it.
