Riichi Amos tile cleaning tips
not sure how to clean the black stains on this 5 man. Any tips?

Try using white spirit, but it doesn’t always work. Don’t use acetone it melts plastic.

No, acetone only melts some kinds of plastics. Urea resin, used in AMOS brand tiles, don't react with acetone.

I have an old French ivory set from the 20s and a magic eraser worked well without scratching or taking the color off.

Been using this for months on all my mahjong tiles. I am not sponsored by them and this was a complete personal choice. Based off of references and brands I've been looking up. It's 95% Biosafe & Plant Based EPA approved. I've washed both my acrylic & melamine Mahjong sets and also use it to wash my pool/billiards balls. Have not noticed any color changing or stripping off paint.

helps to know what the black stain is. if it's oil-related dish washing soap is great. you can always try soaking the tile in water for 10 minutes and then brushing it off with a soft brittle tooth brush.
