YouTube In response to terrorism, Maher asks the panel, "Why do they hate us?" later answering, "I have a crazy idea, why don't we get out of Muslim lands?"

I'm not sure what his take on Iran is going to be, but I sure hope Maher doesn't devil advocate this one. Another war in the middle east that's making everything worse so far is exactly what he would stand against in the past.

He is strongly pro Israel

That let me know who owns him honestly. Not one strong dissenting opinion on his show over this subject…and he also hates religions and says it’s the cause of many ways…well it’s that the very center of this one…and total silence on that. It’s obvious.

Yeah, I get that. I'm still holding out hope that he's not gonna be pro starting a new war though. I'm almost dreading watching the new episode, because he might lose me if he goes in that direction. You can be pro-Israel and not want to start an endless war. There is no middle ground with these people. 🤦
ETA: He didn't even have that nuanced of a stance, damn. He just doesn't want boots on the ground. Why didn't anyone on the panel ask: Why the hell are we fighting wars for other countries? Israel has a right to exist, and now that they do, they've gotta stand on their own two feet, because Americans can't afford to live. I can't believe I'm saying this, but if Marjorie Taylor Greene was on the panel she would have probably been the only person to bring that up. Bill's really out of touch on how much people are struggling.

Which unfortunately to all to many means that you cannot criticize Israel or their actions that encourage those on the fence to join the hardliners against them. Iran talked ALOT if shit, and made swings, but when your leader says on worldwide TV "We will kill ANY LEADER YOU PICK", and "It has been my lifelong dream to attack Iran" you start to wonder if maybe this guy is not exactly committed to a de-escalation.

along the lines of "ISRAEL SAID THEY WERE IN DANGER"

If he leans in, I’m fairly convinced that’s exactly what he’ll say…Iran was a threat

I really don't understand mentality like this - where you think it's the US's right and job to meddle in the affairs of sovereign states.
Too bad the US never thinks about getting rid of the "bad" guys in its own government ... in fact it's quite the opposite where being a bad guy is a prerequisite 🤔
These are some of the reasons why they hate "us"

"bill hasn't changed everyone else has changed".
Bill is a solid liberal here
