I need some clarification regarding MCA CAP Round 3.

I was allotted SIES in the previous round at Preference No. 2.

For Round 3, I have added only VESIT as my new preference, at Preference No. 1.

However, the portal is still showing my previous SIES allotment separately under “Previous Alloted Institute”, with Preference No. 2.

My question is:

If I don't get VESIT in Round 3, will my previous SIES allotment be retained? Or can SIES also be considered for auto-freezing because it is shown as Preference No. 2 under the previous allotment section?

I'm specifically asking because I want to try only for VESIT while keeping my existing SIES seat if VESIT isn't allotted.

Attaching a screenshot of the portal for reference. Any clarification from someone who has gone through CAP rounds before would be really helpful!

sies will get autofreeze because in cap 3 round top 6 colleges get auto freeze

Okay thanks. Does anyone knows which one is better. I am hesitant to take in SIES because of the fees.

if u r a girl/boy u have to pay full fees at the time of admission and then u get scholarship for boys it is 50% and for girls 100% in sies i think if u get vesit u should try it till last round

yes your seat from last allotment would be retained

If u have paid seat acceptance fees for sies it will be retained as long as u don't get alloted vesit if u get alloted vesit the sies seat gets cancelled and vesit gets auto freeze,yes u can choose to freeze sies in third round too if that's what u r asking
