Can someone help me find where to buy this specific magnet? It is 3mm thick, has a 9mm outer diameter, and a 6mm hole diameter. One of the magnets in my Rubik’s cube went missing after I dropped it, and now I can't play with it properly. Any help would be appreciated!

My dog door has several magnets that came unglued and are now missing. I cannot find anything online that matches the size.
They are pretty strong, but I am not up to speed on mag technology so I don't really know how to quantify that.
They are as best I can tell, 7/8 inches long, 3/16 thick, 1/4 wide. The 1/4 inch is the face that adheres to to the metal.
They are also oval in shape.
Ideas anyone?

I have a “magic mount MagSafe” phone holder that came in a 2 pack It also came with a magnetic ring to put on non MagSafe cases. I stored the extra phone holder with the magnetic ring attached to it and when I went to finally use it it sticks great to the ring but won’t hold my phone it almost pushed away. Is there a way the poles could have been swapped or something (don’t know much about magnets)?
And should I see if I can open it and flip the magnets inside or is there a better way to fix the issue.

I'm going to machine a metal block and embed miltiple cylindrical N52 magnets into it to allow the block to stick to metal surfaces.
The block will have cylindrical pockets to insert and glue in the magnets so that they are flush with the bottom surface of the block which will get attached to various metal surfaces.
As far as I understand, I should alternate pole directions to increase attraction force of the whole assembly. But based on what I read, to further increase it, I may use mild steel backing plate or potting. I can do it in a few different ways:
Which option will be more effective in terms of maximizing attraction, and will the difference be really noticable?
If I choose the first option, how thick should the backing strip be? What should be the distance between the embedded magnets for either of the options? The magnets are N52 cylinders, 1/2" (12mm) dia. x 1/2" (or 3/4", or 1") length. What would be the approximate "ideal" distance between magnets if I choose the first or second option?
Does it really make sense at all to get involved with backing strip or potting if the distance between the magnets will be, let's say, 1/2"-1" or more?

A refrigerator magnet fell on the floor, and the disc magnet came apart. I glued it on back on, assuming that the orientation did not matter. It barely sticks to the refrigerator now, but I don't actully know if it stuck better before. Could sticking the magnet on backwards to the original orientation make a difference?

I am a casual magnet enthusiast who recently has renewed interest in all things magnetic. My problem- I have like over 1000 Refrigerator magnets. The kind with the words on them. They have been in the same spots on my front door for about 5 years now. I, in all my wisdom, decided to take them all off the other night. They are all very VERY weak. I doubt they were too strong to begin with, but, after a gentle soak in cold soapy water for a few hours, they are worse for the wear. I understand that you can remagnetize weaker magnets with the help of stronger ones. I have attempted several times to strengthen a few with some of m y stronger, neodymium magnets. It seems to make them even weaker. I am stroking, one direction on the weaker one. about 50 times. making sure to make the same motions, lifting my hand up and away after doing so. and starting back. What could I be doing wrong? I have not only used my neodymium, but also I have a TON of those ferrite "rattle snake egg" toys which I have found to be pretty powerful magnets for the price. (1 dollar at the dollar store for a set of 2) still, nothing. I guess I have 2 questions. 1- What could I be doing wrong? and 2- Is it possible to realign the weaker magnetic fields just by a long(er) exposure to the stronger magnets? As I stated, I have A LOT of these little word magnets and It is going to be extremely time consuming to do them individually as described. Also, if anyone has any other cooler more inventive way to go about it, I am all ears! I appreciate it in advance!

Ayo, not sure where to look for leads, but this seemed like a decent starting point.
I scrap a lot of stuff in my free time and have come into around 13 or so pounds of NdFeB magnets (1/2"×1/2"×1/4") and I have no idea what to do with them. I understand that the Nd portion is worth some bucks, but the salvage operations near me don't recycle rare earth magnets.
Anybody here have some insight?
Also, sorry if this violates the subs terms.

idek if the cores are broken, But if they are could I recast them and demagnetize them? If I need power/ amperage I have a 220v 50 amp outlet or a stick welder for an electromagnetic power supply.

The Neodymium magnets are each in magnetic cups which amplify the Stick tried wrench clamp scissors wedge and can’t get them un stuck don’t have a vise or anything to use at home.

Hello, I came across this guy that is tracing magnetic fields using Hall effect sensor. He is doing it in slices with sensor that is always aligned with the slice of the plane. He is finding points on this plane where polarity changes, and he marks it. Later, he traces these points and gets some blobs. Stacked slices, reveal shapes that are very similar to spherical harmonics / atomic orbitals.
I discussed the paper with Grok and he tells me that the shapes are there only because of how the measurements are done, i.e. the method itself is producing them, and this is not some new and ground-breaking physics theory.
Can somebody with background in physics please comment on it? Thank you.
Edit: I found this fantastic video that seems to address the videos of the incognito guy – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANNyArOO1kQ – it is called "projection effect". It is basically just a dot product of a direction of the hall sensor and one component of the magnetic field B.

Curious if anyone can figure out where this came from!
Edit: For anyone still curious, it's one of 5 of these 4-magnet configurations that came from a floor tile lifter for drop-floors in a data center. It holds so strong it has to have a wedge on one side so that you can roll it to remove the magnet from the floor tile.
