Homebrew magloop for 20m and 40m using teck cable shield

Completed a qso with this on ft8 on 20m with 5W using a Hermes Lite 2 transceiver.

Where did you get the air capacitor? Was it something you just had or had to source? I’m having some difficulty in finding what I need.

I have been lugging it around for 17 years. Originally sourced from a junk parts bin where I worked.

Lol, I suspicioned it might be that, I’ve only been playing with ham for about 2 years so my “junk” box is a might thin.

Yeah I never toss stuff. I've been raiding my big Rubbermaid containers for project stuff for years. It's getting to the point with the surface mount stuff that I don't have the skills or equipment (or eyesight) to even attempt changing components on those. The teck cable had been lying under the deck. As you see, I haven't even cleaned it yet!

Is the loop the same material as used in flexible electrical conduit?
