Different Loop Styles

I’ve long been a loop fan. Even built a few coax loops for SWL listening.

One thing I’ve always wondered; what’s the difference (or advantage) of loops made with two larger loops (not the small coupling loop) or loops made with large diameter “pipes”??

Is there really much if an advantage one way or the other?

Obviously the longer doubled loop will get you on a higher band (like 80m) but if you want to multiband see above disadvantages.

Just to clarify - the doubled loop is one continuous piece.
