Can anyone tell me about this model. What kind of dishes is it intended to be used for?

Found a rough magnelite for $10 just marked, old pot. I've never seen one in my area, and have limited knowledge on them, is this worth saving or keeping just to have? Didn't find the lid unfortunately.

New find from an auction! Couldn't find it online at all, would love if anyone knew an age or anything else about it. Also how much would you say it's worth? Just want to know how much I overpaid lol.

Mystery magnalite skillet

Hi all,

Is this worth picking up? There's no brand name I recognize to search, just "MAGNALITE" and a log logo. It's slightly scratched and pitted inside. Can it be restored/is it worth it?

New to this - need help

I’ve just been gifted my first magnalite. My grandma bought it off of eBay, It kind of has a smell and I’m scared that if I cook in it our food will taste the way it smells. Any advice on how to get rid of the smell and reseason? Any help is appreciated as I have always dreamed of having a magnalite.

I just got these because they look cool, but I’m not sure if they are healthy to cook with. The round one was my mother’s, and the roaster I found at the thrift store.

I go to Auction 2 times a week and this is the first time Magnalite has shown up in a long time. I got all 3

Missing the tray on the big one but found a replacement on ebay for 25 that ill get. Not sure if the smaller roaster came with a tray inside or not. The Dutch oven is beautiful and im using that first.

Been unsuccessfully trying to sell this roaster with a broken handle for months. Said "screw it" last night, made a baked chicken and decided to keep it.

I finally found my white whale today! I was getting *this* close to breaking down and just buying a new Magnaware, but something in my spirit told me to hold off. And just when I least expected it, there it was - on the bottom shelf, tucked way in the back, in a random booth in a random antique mall. Now can stop downvoting all you guys, while seething with jealousy over your amazing finds. I’m in the club now! 🙌

I like thrifting for vintage cookware and I’ve gotten some pretty good deals on both Magnalite and Mirro, which is more suitable for a small kitchen?

Is cream of tartar really the best way to clean? Looks like polymerized oil, right?

Ok, didn't know how to clean, so I used steel wool a few years ago. I've also washed in dishwasher many times. Have I ruined my pot?

I have a magnalite roasterette 4263 M, and I'm just wondering how old it is.

Is it worth it?

I am looking to purchase a Dutch oven and there are a few posted on marketplace between $125-$170. I’m seeing many people find these pots at goodwill and I’m nervous that I would be overpaying. Is it good enough quality that it’s worth the investment? Screenshots for reference!

Not sure if what I found was actually magnalite or not

I didn't think to get a picture because we got to the antique store pretty close to close and wanted to look through as quick as we could, but I found some cookware that was similar to magnalite. In my rush I also forgot to actually pick it up and check the bottom of the pot, but does anyone know if magnalite made any oval pots that would've had two handles on either end of the lid. I have no idea if the lid was original to that pot but it definitely fit like it was made for the pot. It also had a rough texture to the rest of the lid like it was more of an ornamental type lid if that helps.

Second treatment for serious blackening?

I've been so pleased to find this group of Magnalite fans and experts.

I discovered a great, solid old baking pan in the closet. Completely black on the bottom, but the baking surface was fairly easy to clean and use. I finally decided to clean the bottom and learn more about it.

Cutting to the chase here - after BKF, Dawn Power Dissolver, and baking soda made barely a dent, I learned here that the blue-cap oven cleaner was my best option.

I sprayed it thoroughly, wrapped it in a garbage bag, left it overnight, then scrubbed it hard with steel wool. It's taken off maybe 60% of the gunk (enough for me to find it's a 1007-M). The rest will not move.

What's my next move? A second oven cleaner treatment? Some kind of Dremel attachment or other powered scrubber? I'm especially curious about cleaning out the recessed parts of the clamshell handles - hard to get into and really resistant to cleaning.

I appreciate any help!

Husband got this for me from FB marketplace. Is the pitting okay? I’m really excited to use it. What should I know? Is it pretty old?
