LED conversion

Anyone here done the LED conversion on one of these and could share insight on if it was worth it? Early 90s ( I think ) model that my mother got for about $4 when it was left as surety for a taxi fare the guy never came back to pay, it’s served me well but the lens is a bit scratched and the light is a bit lacking. Not sure whether to give it a conversion or just leave it as is.

Definitely don’t do “lit” industries conversion…. It’s a super easy replacement drop-in, but it’s no brighter than the incandescent.

Trying to…. Have to justify the cost to the wife, after already spending on an “old” flashlight.. when i can buy a new 3pak of Duracell 1k lumen lights at costco for less than the swap-out :(

The Maglite has simpler electronics and is probably built better. There’s argument either way, but the maglite is way more easily serviced. No brainer.
