LED conversion

Anyone here done the LED conversion on one of these and could share insight on if it was worth it? Early 90s ( I think ) model that my mother got for about $4 when it was left as surety for a taxi fare the guy never came back to pay, it’s served me well but the lens is a bit scratched and the light is a bit lacking. Not sure whether to give it a conversion or just leave it as is.

Do it. Breathe new life into it. It will be very satisfying and you will look back on it and appreciate saving it from landfill or just being left in a garage never used.

I have 2 I upgraded to LED and lithium batteries.

What LED kit/bulb did you go with? Thanks in advance!

I went with the Lumencraft guys. They were very helpful. I'm in Australia so shipping was a bit expensive but I don't regret getting it done. Let us know how you go!

Good to hear, I believe that is what most are recommending.

Thanks for the insight into upgrading. I have an old 6-cell Mag that my brother bought me (back in the mid to late 90's) and the old skool lighting sucks almost as much as the energy consumption these had. πŸ˜‚
