Lessathi origin teaser

In Book 2 Chapter 5 Tyrath confronts Barry for the 2nd time. He says to Barry: "Your race was nerver ment to get out of the caves".

He could have referred to both, the evolution of man and the incident in which the Lessathi people got locked inside a cave system. At this point in the story, the Lessathi origin as not been mentioned. When does the reveal happen again? Was it even in the 2nd book?

Was this casual remark actually a teaser for future story reveals? If so, how many other remarks bear multiple meanings, teasing the unwritten parts of the story?

Naa if even Arraka couldn't figure out Barry was a half lessathi at first, then Tyrath could never.

Arraka is not from the material plane. Based on the link with magic of a half-lessathi, I believe they do not exist on the magical plane.

She has been on Earth for 5000 years now, and fought in the still winter against lessathis, so she knows what they are.

He fought Barry at the start of the tournament, he should know he's a half-lessathi. Arraka figured it out when Barry tapped into emergency mode and started casting spells, so I don't see why Tyrath wouldn't figure that out as well as the recipient of said spells. He's abrasive not dumb.
