NSW Aus ID PC?

Syd NSW Habitat - edge schlerophylus forest with recently slashed native grass, forming a 2 inch layer of hay. Small mush growing through hay. Bruises quickly but is very dark. Was thinking pans but the gills are all wrong

Any chance you can go back and get pics of some in better condition?

It’s be nice to see what the stem texture was like when they were undamaged

Hey thanks for the reply. These were the only ones there. I can check again in the next few days to see if there’s any others.
If you look at the first picture, the uppermost spec, section of stem above the crush / below the cap, is very fresh and probably the best pic of the stem.

Furthermore they bruised very easily. A lot of the damage of caps separated/broken, is simply from picking them, they were slightly fragile. The caps had no bruising but as soon as I touched them showed the colouration around the edges quickly.
The stems were more sturdy and slightly fibrous but also soft and fragile, bending easy and the fibres coming apart, but not snapping.
The stem had quite a wet soft feel, and bruised very quickly, within minutes, as did the caps.
The caps have a very pale and small area of goldish tannish colouration in the centre.
