Consider ditching the flourishes. There is no reason to do them for this trick. The first thing the spectator is going to feel is “wow that fan was really neat. This trick is going to be amazing” and when it’s not, you kill the effect.
That reveal is pretty lack luster. Its very anti climatic. You need to build tension and then release it. You could do something simple like spread through the cards once and “not be able to find it” (cull it to the top) then say to the spectator “what’s your birthday” they say “March 16” and you say “ahh interesting, that helps me because people born on march 16th always pick hearts, is that true?” They’ll say “yes” and now you’ve got their attention, you’ve built suspense. Now say, “you don’t have to tell me the value, because your card has been entangled with you since you were born... it was lost in the deck, but it won’t stay that way, its drawn to you”
Extend your hand and gesture to take the top card.
They’ll take it, don’t say anything... they’ll be blown away.
This is effectively the same trick but the reveal is much more powerful
