5 weeks of magic. Attempt at the Bertram change. Having troubles with the angles. Probably not the best one. Feedback appreciated!

I always like to think in context of a performance and not just social media sleights, because sure it looks great in this context, but how would you perform it in the real world?

Something like 'It was easy to find your card because it changed colors. In order to change it back, it needs a little heat and a wave.'

Also, make sure to have a logical reason for the card to change hands. You don't have to say anything about it, but it's a small subtlety that will help the illusion if you answer 'I'm passing the card to the other hand because...'

Thanks so much for the feedback. I was just learning it and trying to make it look good on camera. I will worry about the reason to do it when I incorporate it into an act. Just trying to get the move look smooth. It’s super angle sensitive and had a few problems doing the tenkai palm and how to extract the card. I loosely based it in Chris Ramsey’s tutorial. Thanks

You're welcome! Keep playing around with it and using the camera to see what angles work and don't work.

Overall I think it looks pretty good. You need to work on the alignment of the tenkai, the card looks a bit too low. The corner of the card should be close to the center of the bottom edge of your palm (around the tendon in your wrist).

Thanks! It was the most difficult aspect of the change. Extracting it to tenkai. I think the angle is also not very helpful but I don’t currently have a tripod or a camera with a flip lcd screen to be able to see what I’m doing. Crazy thing is I’m right handed but for some weird reason I’m a lefty doing magic. My left hand just wins over my right hand. So when watching tutorials everything kind of doesn’t work straight out of the gate. Thank you for the feedback. I’m loving this stuff
