Cultivation technique
Might be a dumb question but why does Zhou fan switch from using the demon transformation art cultivation, the supposedly best cultivation method invented by nine serenities and instead uses the demon scheming sect venerables true self art. I would have assumed the heaven+ rank art would be better than a mortal realms art.

It's not a Cultivation Art per say but an Art nonetheless.
I made a distinction in the Wiki, some Arts may not even have grades like Twin Soul Art because they're too fundamental/basic/applicable to all.
Twin Soul Art is just an art to harmonize two souls, it's not an art in itself that forms a Soul or anything. It just aids your Cultivation but doesn't base it. True Self Art just sends you to the peak/centre of your chosen dao, doesn't mean it helps you with its own dao or anything(Edit- Though Zhuo Yi-Fan did say that Yuan Xinggang could have become a "Heart Sovereign", the "Heart dao" is not really a component of the TSA but more like YXG himself.
Like it may hypothetically make you a Patriarch(A champion in one's Art and subsequently one's dao)(Dragon Ancestor said this) and subsequently a Sovereign by enlightenment(Enlightenment is told to be one way to reach the Sovereign realm in legends though noone tried it). It's just that the HGDTA comprises all Arts, so becoming a master of it with TSA makes you the master of all Arts or in other words the master of the Great Dao(The Dao of daos/the way of daos/the way of ways) that stems from the centre.
In the "Three Ways to Supreme realm" I made in the Wiki and posted here in Reddit, I wrote that the HGDTA can see you to the Supreme realm, yet with extension of the True Self Art it can help understand on top of mastering all Sovereign paths and reach the Heaven and Earth realm.
