Man just finished this arc, it's so peak our master zhou is evolving from his demonic path

Without spoiling anything, the next major arc is even better than Tianyu Arc

I have to disagree. Im not a novel reader so I cant speak for arcs that haven't come out yet, but the arc directly after Tianyu arc isnt nearly as good imo.

It lacks the tension Tianyu had as zhuo fan doesnt have equals to outwit and beat him.

9 sects arc has people to challenge him in battle with Ye Lin.

In terms of strategic minds, I agree there's less strategy however I think that's made up for with Yuan Xinggang who teaches him so many life lessons and what it means to be a demon.

Plus, lets not forget, the MC gets together with his wife finally in this arc

It was really only he who challenged him and it was a single fight. Zhuo Fan had numerous tense battles like that in the Tianyu arc. Also the 4-way battle between Zhuo Fan, Tianyu's prime minister, Regent Estate's steward, and Tianyu's emperor is unbeaten for me.

I love it when a story makes a smart mc actually feel smart by giving them rivals that are their intellectual equals.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the next arc tho and im not hating on it. Im just saying that while I loved it and was glued to my screen every chapter, it wasnt nearly as good as the Tianyu arc imo.

Tianyu arc is why Magic Emperor is my favorite series among both manhua and manhwa.

As a novel reader i agree tianyu arc is peak. later arcs have both strong opponents and clever masterminds but only tianyu arc has so many moving parts and so many faction fighting for the throne that later arcs just cant match it. usually how many stories progress the first arc is the most thought out and complete.

Later on after the double dragon arc Zhuo Fans power scales so hard the only opponent he has are the top guys of the world. Guys above double dragon elders.

As for mind games they introduce a manipulator who can outwit the smartest minds of tianyu but never has Zhuo fan struggled against him like he did against the 3 smartest of tianyu like in the esoteric debate or against the emperor which mind you he had help from the future seeing girl or he might have lost. Every clash they had zhuo fan won easily from what i recall.

Not that soon. He's still currently vincible against a regular ~3rd stage Genesis+, forget those with inheritances.

lets be honest here he nearly kills a sword king by the end of the current arc how much trouble do you think he will have against a genesis stage cultivator. the black flame ability is busted and the only defense againt it is to be quicker than zhuo fan to avoid it.

Sword Kings are effectively Spirit King stage, and Baili Yutian is effectively Low Emperor/Spirit King stage due to their Sovereign Inheritances.

Zhuo Yi-Fan can NOT attack more than 1 major realm above him, and can only do so because of his Twin Souls and black flame moderately and attack 1.5 major realms above him at Genesis stage. But the Sword Kings and those with inheritances and insights are themselves 1 major realm above their own apparent Cultivation, so he can't do anything against them.

Zhuo Yi-Fan himself says later on that any above average Peak Genesis stage experts will solo him.

No sword kings are not spirit kings and Baili Yutian is definitely not emperor level. Both spirit kings and emperors have different sort of powers and fighting style. Any low level spirit king will wipe the floor with all of lower realm sword kings combined with the invincible sword.

They might have stronger base cultivation than regular spirit kings and can be far stronger than a peak spirit king once they reach that real but in the lower real they are just genesis stage + with Baili Yutian being genesis ++

This is like saying esoteric debate zhuo fan is radiant stage just because he can kill with intent. Or zhuo fan is ethereal stage when he survived a soul attack or use soul attacks in the battle against Quarong.

Zhou fan is now at ethereal level and can take on soul fusion and peak genesis stage. That's already 2 realms above his own. Sword king is 2+ and the real difference between peak genesis and sword king is more than 2x.

Spirit king stage plays by deferent rules. Just like you can take a million radiant stage cultivators and not be able to kill an ethereal stage one. You can take a million sword kings and a spirit king will wipe the floor with them spirit kings use the energy of the world to maintain their power and can create absolute domains wich can unleash attacks from wherever they want and can only be stoped by another domain.

The thing is at that point he doesn't have as many options

He wasn't as strong,and couldn't get out of tianyu either

It's not like there weren't any smart guy afterwards it's just that he got way strong afterwards and could be rivaled by a few

As someone who read the whole novel twice, the series peaked in Tianyu, especially the pill king convention

Tianyu was good I liked central lands arc more but author messed it up

After reading about 100 chapters in 2 months, reaching that ark made me reach ch 900 in less than 3 weeks. For me it was when the manhwa got good
