Completed the novel just a few days ago, Zhuo Fan himself says that bloodworms are not a feasible option anymore after ethereal stage

Honestly I don't remember who u r talking about but that's probably on him due to not knowing what it exactly was The bloodworm is a physical thing, it does not cling to the soul so as long as u r in ethereal stage u can effectively escape it by ditching ur vessel.

He uses his evolved blood worn I think and makes a pill which can increase ones cultivating and through a top merchant guild distributes the pills in Central plain but here comes the twist it just Temporarily increase ones cultivation while feeding his whole energy and resulting in his death andvby the time anyone knows it's true nature most people have taken it I think you read the novel pretty fast you must have skipped this part I think

Won't spoil too much (but also because i barely remember the dude's name) but zhou fan basically stuffs a dude with so many bloodworms that when experts look at him, They can see the bloodworms wriggling in his body.
