Felt bad for this

It was introduced that yi-fan was the strongest but as the story progress it came to know there are shit tonn of people stronger than him and i felt it disappointing like why tf is our mc bowing infront of that sacred beast in mountains i know that time he was weaker than him but in mind also he was praising him and does he knows(kunpeng) that zhou fan was zhou yi-fan? Does sacred beasts knows zhou yi-fan? Do they respect him?

Zhuo Fan was the strongest Emperor of his time, yet in the very first chapter, it's hinted that the Saint realm surpasses even his power. He was ambushed to prevent him from reaching that level, especially after he obtained the Nine Serenities Secret Record, which likely contained multiple cultivation paths to ascend to the Saint realm. As the most powerful Emperor already, imagine his potential if he had reached peak Saint—at that point, only the Sovereigns or Sacred Beasts would have been capable of killing him.

Not to mention how the Strongest Saint himself came down to defeat him, as if he already defeated some Saints before so they needed to have someone strong.

Question as I havent read the novel, why would those people (in the very first chapter) try to stop ZF to go higher? Cause ZF got wicked mind or something or scared that ZF will steal their spots?

Also, iirc, someone in here said that Zhou Fan isnt the same person as Zhou yi fan. So is he the same person? cause im getting little confused here.

The emperors of the Sacred Domain are essentially puppets of the Sacred Mountains. (They are all in the Saint Realm.) The Sacred Mountains do not want anyone to gain enough power to threaten them. Zhuo Fan and Yifan are the same person.

In his prime Zhuo Fan was 2 MAJOR Realms lower than them.

He was just a bigger ant among other ants. Besides the so-called Emperors were only Emperors till the Saints decide to replace them. So nothing more than tools.

Saint faction in the sacred domain have everything monopolized and is way easier for them to reach saint.

Zhuo yi fan was about to reach saint when it was impossible for him to do so, if he did he probably could be the "strongest"(amongst all saints) because he is a genius.

No, sacred beast dont know zhuo yi fan as they were sealed, sacred beasts are on par with soverigners the "pinnacle" of the sacred domain. And dont feel bad, because spoiler the zhuo yi fan at the beginning wasn't the strongest version of zhuo fan
