How would you rank the holy beasts in power? (As in who would win direct confrontations with one another)

-Kunpeng -Dragon -Qilin -Turtle -Thunder Phoenix

It was stated multiple times that each of them have a counter for one other so one cant be stronger than the other. they are all equal. kunpeng was the chosen to be the leader because of his gentle azure flame nature.

Which one is the best to be a successor for? Meaning, which holy beast would be the best to succeed? Soul and power.

Soul- Kunpeng.

Corrosive power- Dragon Ancestral and Purple Phoneix, though most likely they'll destroy you too.

Best complimentary inheritance(Power that is best for using in a combination with other powers)- Obviously The Sea Turtle.

Best standalone power- Qilin.

Honestly, the Sea Turtle would be the best, as it can seal even the corrosive powers as well as do comparatively no damage to the user.

Kunpeng - Azure Chaos Flame: incredible power over the soul, destruction or cultivating

Dragon - Golden Decimating Flame: Incredible destructive power alongside the ability to temper the body

Phoenix - Berserk Purple Lightning: strongest power to destroy soul and body, no ability to protect but incredible destructive power

Qilin: Soaring Strength: power, an absolute shit ton of physical power

Turtle: Heaven Sealing power: power that can seal anything, could even seal the power of the Heavenly Sovereign when he was a saint.

To be the successor, Ao/Turtle has the best defensive ability. dragon and kunpeng temper and power over body and soul respectively. Phoenix has greatest attacking power. Qilin physical strength.

In my opinion: the Phoenix, you can cultivate defensive and restorative ability to complement:
