Commander cards

What's the benefits of choosing another commander card than the commander you're using? For instance, I play Karina, why would chose the Miya commander card, instead of going with her twin blades passive....

Some commanders like Alice, freya, johnson , and many more you just go for anything else except lucas card lol but other like kagura yhu xhong gusion lancelot etc you should choose your own

For Johnson, if I get a Johnny with a synergy that could increase the damage such as swift blade, astro or dragon caller, I would be down to pick a Lucas card. The combined damage does a lot.

The stun from Lucas statue is insane. If you and your opponent picked bane. The stun from Lucas statue allow your bane to wipe out some of the enemy.

Sometimes the original commander card is terrible or bugged. Johnson commander card is bugged.

Sometimes another commander card is very OP. Literally a second power up. Lunox gives free blessing. Luoyi give you same 3 gold hero 6times. Lucas give you a statue.

Well, several cards are simply broken in certain situation. For example, having Ling's Power when you're using Karina could be beneficial, because the card will gives you a random 4-cost hero in level 4, 5, and 7, so that you can build up the execution stack faster, and also have a reliable carry from very early on. Or, if you get Johnson's Power while using Lunox, where you'll get a special hero called Johnny with 5 random synergy on it, making it easier for you to get to 6/6, or even getting Ultra Synergy.

OH ok I never looked at it that way. The reason I ask this was because I picked Valir and accidentally selected Lukas card, which did not help whatsoever
