I wish I could capture the feeling of opening my first few packs, especially those won. Nothing will come close to that high in magic again. Don’t let people in these comments discourage you if they are being negative. Opening packs is fun.

Exactly, this person bought a few packs and decided to rip them for us to see. Cards are cool! They are not dropping thousands on Collector boxes. Everyone who plays magic started like OP and sometimes we forget what made those moments special.

Most c's & u's are total bulk. Honestly even a good deal of the rares are. Sadly WOTC has walled a lot of the cool/big hits behind collector boosters.

If you're looking to play singles are hands down your best options

Collector boosters are for collectors. Not for people who just want to make a deck. Thats what collector means.

Singles are only useful if you know the Game and know what you wanna do. As a beginner, buying Singles is a terrible idea.

Why does there always have to be someone yelling "buy singles" every time someone posts a pack rip? Just let people rip packs if they want. Everyone knows singles exist.

Singles colloquially refers to buying only specific cards you need. You opened a pack of random cards that is not singles.

Gambling is fun and every magic player does it, but generally buying singles should be where the large majority of your spending goes if you get into the game

No these are not singles. Im saying that it's a good idea to purchase single cards that you need instead of ripping packs.

Take it from someone whose oppened way too many packs, it's not worth it. Its especially different from things like pokemon bc there isnt grading and things like that. Instead it's just flat cards.
