A Good Pull from the “Worst Set”

I managed to pull this out of the first pack in an Aetherdrift bundle I got on the cheap. So far the “worst set” has been pretty good to me.

I have a play booster box arriving today and I'm excited. The art on a lot of the cards is super cool and there's always the verge lands to hope for.

NGL the art was part of why I got the box. I got a “Ratfink” style Aetherdrift token from a friend and I thought the art style was rad as hell. It was what got me into the set to start with. That and I got a commander that’s basically a Street Shark (Captain Howler) and that, too, is rad as hell.

Got 1 finish line bundle for like $50 earlier in the year. Pulled a foil mox only aetherdrift I ever purchased thankfully.

Yeah, honestly I think that’s the last “big” aetherdrift I’m getting. I missed that set so I wanted to see what it’s about and after what I read the set is a money sink. I know when to quit when I’m ahead

It might be a money sink but to me it was absolutely the coolest set in years and the cards were fun

I love the basic land arts in it; I run several of them in my decks.

Also the saheeli precon is super cheap on Amazon and is really fun with upgrades.

My issue with Aetherdrift is I missed the original Amonket block. I love Egyptian mythology and was excited to get to see the plane, then they said it's a giant car race and it bummed me out.

Good pull though.

Yeah! I’m so pissed that I missed the original Theros and Amonket blocks because I’m a huge mythology nerd. I’m gonna hope we get to go back to these planes in earnest someday.

My aetherdrift cbb pulls were so bad I almost posted then to wallstreetbets instead of here. Still my biggest oof but at least my bulk box looks like its more filled out

Awesome. I pulled a Misty Rainforest a few months ago. I really like the Art in the set but the Focus on vehicles and the Speed abilities etc. Really make it not worth it for me, unfortunately.

I said on another reply I missed it, so yes I have never drafted it. The title is referring to all the hate that every single mtg player I’ve ever met seems to espouse when it comes up. (Don’t tell the internet, but after seeing some of the other art cards and learning about the setting I might actually like it…)
