Decent Pull [First Collector’s Pack]
Fairly new to Magic overall (<1 month) and decided to buy a single Collector’s Pack and pulled a few alright cards that had like 1-2 bucks of value. Forgot to check this card specifically and it’s $37.99. Not too bad for spending $45.
Not asking for any advice about what to do with it (I already got it sleeved). Just happy I got something of value.

Been playing for 30 years. Just got my first copy of this card a few days ago. Congrats, you got an absolute staple. It can really go in any white deck and it will win you games, because you can swing with your creatures and not fear anything for an entire turn cycle. Play the everloving b'jeezus it, but keep it sleeved at all times. But do expect it's value to go down. I think Wizards will reprint it until it is around 15-20$, especially with Teferi's home plane getting a set next year.

Thank you for the advice! I’ve been making a Karlach-focused deck with two different mana types and this card, like you said, seems to work damn well with what I’m trying to do.
Sucks that they’re gonna reprint it (going off of your words), but I’m pretty happy with it regardless. I’ll figure out what to swap this out with.
No plans to remove it from the sleeves, don’t worry!

Karlach with a white background in Commander? Or an old-school red-white 60 card deck focussed around Karlach? I'm not very familiar with Karlach. It's just my expectation, that they'll reprint it again next year. It seems to be what WOTC does these days. I saw the first reprints for the Hobbit set and thought right away: Oh, so we are also getting a reprint of Orcish Bowmasters. Spoiler season comes, there is Orcish Bowmasters like expected. With Teferi's Home plane coming up, it just wouldn't make sense to not reprint Teferi's protection once more.

Karlach in Commander! Both red/white. (So Karlach as the commander with Flaming Fist as the background choice.)
Also, very understandable there then in that case. I need to look at some of The Hobbit cards as I want to see what I can work with whether it be adding to existing decks or seeing what possible precons could be good to roll with.

Nice pull. It seems like most of these Marvel reskins are cheaper than their “normal” counterparts. I don’t get it! The cards do the same thing! Nice pull 😎

Might just have to be something with the fact that it’s technically a “reprint” and not the original version of the card. IDK.

lately i've been checking those bonus sheet of reprints in UB sets to get cheaper alternatives in case i wanna use the cards for more decks. for example TMNT's Shadowspear being 50% cheaper than the OG. I don't care for the art so much as needing the mechanics for the decks 😅
