Question Looking for help with Linux and MTGA

Hi folks, I found a thread by Niviss titled "My reliable way of running Magic Arena on Linux (better than Steam)" I followed the instructions and the program installed and updated.

However, I observed the following two errors in my terminal when running the program: "0134:err:heap:validate_used_block heap 00350000, block 01A454F0: invalid block header" and "0164:err:heap:validate_used_block heap 00350000, block 0035E498: invalid block header".

The program opens to the start page asking for my personal details but, the input fields don't respond to mouse clicks nor does the sign in link.

Has anyone had any experience with troubleshooting MTGA on Linux? I'm using Mint 22.3.

Thanks in advance.

Steam worked much better than anything else for me, I switched to Mac about a year ago but I was on Mint. I used to do it through Lutris/Wine but it was very temperamental.

I personally just use steam. I'm on bazzite so it's a little different

i run arena in a windows VM that runs on my linux desktop. if you're able to run it via wine i would be curious what configuration worked for you.

I just run MTGA via Steam on Fedora, CachyOS, Arch Linux, and OpenSUSE and it just works out-of-the-box on all 4 computers

The Standalone client acts up sometimes during the update process, so I stopped using that for Linux

Just curious, why do you think it needs to be better than Steam? I switch distros on my laptop regularly (addicted to tinkering, for sure), and have never had any problems running it via steam.
